Series 1 then? I’d pay good money if a future volume got around to having Timothy Dalton as a certain Lord President of some ill repute.

Dalton got as much for his extended cameo in The End Of Time as Matt Smith did for the whole of his first year. That may need to be a very, very pretty penny indeed. He doesn't take anything to do with Bond fandom and extended media...would be tricky to see him doing it for DW. He has done some audio though - he did the adaptations of John Barnville's Quirke books though so he's not averse to audio in general. Might be easier getting Don Warrington back though

I’m pleased about the announcement of Aldred and Jacobi. I think this is the sort of range that is quite justified in bringing back existing characters.
As for Timothy Dalton, he was asked back for Hell Bent and was up for doing it, but couldn’t due to filming commitments with - I think - Penny Dreadful. I’m not saying that means he’ll do Big Finish (I can’t see it myself), but I don’t think he would be reluctant to return to the Rassilon role at all.

No. Just means I'd like it to happen. Hey, if they can woo John Hurt and Derek Jacobi, who knows?

I'm thrilled to hear Ace is back. I've always been fascinated by what she would have done in the Time War, given her experiences with Daleks and her weird status of being a Time Lord but not a Gallifreyan. I am still a little disappointed that Big Finish didn't really commit to Trey/Romana III, although I do love Lalla Ward's Romana. I'm looking forward to seeing how she interacts with the War Master.

I'm thrilled to hear Ace is back. I'm not! I think I've had enough of Ace myself, so that's not a great selling point for me... each to their own though, there are others who think you can have too much Daleks, so horses for courses.

Ace in a different surrounding is like getting a whole new Ace but I take your point.

I have nothing wrong with hearing Ace in a different surrounding; 'Ace - Lost in Space' (Vol 1) sounds like an interesting spin-off idea to me!

Not sure if everyone caught this, but in the most recent podcast when talking about this, Nick Briggs was calling it “Gallifrey: Time War: Series 1.” Maybe there are more titles in this ‘series’ coming?

I wonder if this will be set before The War Master Boxset, from his point of view.
I hope they can finally make the Time War feel like an actual war that the Doctor doesn't want to get involved with.

"It’s the beginning of a terrifying new start for the Gallifrey team, and possibly the end for some of our regulars...”
I know who I'd like it to be the end for and a proper end or maybe A Gender change Regeneration so *Fred" becomes an apt Nickname

Maybe there's an unwritten rule now that guest Time Lords of the highest fame can only be played by Knights of the Realm?

I wonder if this will resolve the plot threads left over by Enemy Lines or if it's being treated as a whole new series. Either way I'm excited
