Big Finish do produce some great themes for their titles. River Song, Jago & Litefoot and the War Doctor spring to mind as examples of greatness.

Just listened to Part 1- Stolen Goods. Absolutely fantastic!! It's been a while since I laughed and just enjoyed a BF audio like that. The supporting cast was brilliant. New Who audios have been hit or miss for me but this is a home run! I sincerely hope they make a 2nd set soon!!

Just listened to Stolen Goods, must agree it’s fun, funny and a brilliant reintroduction to the character. She’s wittier and wiser than she was before but the feel of seeing everything through a quite literally brand new fresh pair of eyes is still there. Looking forward to listening to the rest of the box set over the rest of the week.

What a wonderful box set. And that ending! Marvellous stories. All of them.
I was very pessimistic about the viability of this and the Lady Christina spin-offs, but BF have just earned my faith on their future NS full-cast output.

She is her Father's Daughter
Fun and easily accessible not particularly deep but didn't need to be IMO.
Oh its also got a killer Music Score (very nice work Joe Kraemer) As someone who thought Jenny would be best choice for a New Who Spin off from the beginning, Cheers and Thanks to all involved.

What are we thinking? Volume 3 or 4 before Doctor number 10 puts in a guest appearance?

What are we thinking? Volume 3 or 4 before Doctor number 10 puts in a guest appearance? Will it go that long? So far UNIT and River Song are the only new series spin-offs to be a "range" - a word which I am defining here as "runs for at least three volumes, released on a regular-ish schedule." (Also, I'm only counting Class as one volume because both are being released in the same month and Big Finish limits itself to four episodes per box set.) As to the actual question, unless David Tennant's availability changes, I think that won't be happening. (Though she may make a guest appearance in the Tenth Doctor Adventures.)

Stolen Goods I confess I was doubtful about this idea to begin with and I couldn't remember the episode or the character.
Then I read the news stories, became more interested, saw the synopses and excellent guest cast and thought oh maybe.. then I heard the trailer and that was another pre-order! After hearing the first episode I'd say BF are on to yet another winner. They don't use 'Vol 1' anywhere I've seen, but that's what I've tagged the folder on my hard drive because I'm expecting many more volumes to follow if the other stories are this good. Georgia Tennant is predictably excellent, but the key is that so is Jenny. She's an immediately likeable character and the Doctor's daughter for sure - talks like the Tenth, fights like the Third! She has a lot to learn about the Universe but she's very perceptive and sees straight through to the truth - which is good when your first encounter is with a slimy amphibian (and that's his morals I'm talking about, not his texture!) called Garundel. I know he's been in a couple of other stories but this was also my first encounter with him and Stuart Milligan is brilliant as the cosmic conman (and did any other listeners of 70s vintage think of the voice - and honesty! - of 'The Hooded Claw' from 'The Perils of Penelope Pitstop'? ) The story is fast comedy with occasional menace and obliterations thanks to a seriously dangerous cyborg, the COLT-5000 and it was a delight to hear the wonderful voice of Siân Phillips demanding 'Where is the Time Lord?' And just like her dad would, Jenny soon picks up a Companion. But who is Noah? Sean Biggerstaff's character has been in cryo-sleep for a long, long time...
I enjoyed the tone of the story and I hope this is a feature of the range; it's entertaining 'put-your-feet-up' listening with a thread of mystery. And big purple warriors and explosions, obviously. Recommended.

Didn't Milligan play the same character in a 7th Doctor Adventure? Maybe the second Klein trilogy?

Didn't Milligan play the same character in a 7th Doctor Adventure? Maybe the second Klein trilogy? He did indeed. And the character is one of the reasons I pre-ordered. He was in Black & White and then was last heard of in Starlight Robbery working with... ** SPOILER ** ...the Daleks!

Have to say, I think this was a pretty strong boxset overall, all the stories were good, and the ending to the last episode... {Spoiler} I'm so glad that I managed to stay unspoiled for it, but I have to admit, I'm not totally surprised by that appearance, mostly because I was expecting some sort of cameo by him. But still loved it nonetheless.
