Finally, it's announced! I can't wait for this release, although has anyone noticed how it isn't labelled as 'Series 1'? I hope Nicholas Briggs' public snarky response to Georgia Tennant on Twitter back when she tweeted about the set after the RadioTimes leak hasn't scuppered any chance of her returning. I'd like to see this get a series rather than just a one-off set. says producer David Richardson, “I was very keen to make this series happen – and how brilliant to be able to bring Jenny into her own audio adventure series.
This statement suggests it will be a series And not just a one off. I hope so. Jenny definitely deserves a series rather than just a one-off.

Just like the Torchwood One Box-Sets Don’t have Series Numbers but just Names?! TommyP You might be right. The Doctor's Daughter seems like part of the series name to me, although I could be wrong.

I never saw this coming . Finally the worst kept secret is official and it's about time. The series/volume 1 thing has probably just been missed. I'd be very surprised for it to be a single box (especially with Georgia being AP). Cheers Tony I would also be surprised, had it not been for Nicholas Briggs' comment to Georgia Tennant around the time of the RadioTimes leak. I wouldn't blame her if his unprofessional remark resulted in her deciding not to do any more Big Finish after this set. When he's not in his element I guess Nick is an impulsive social networker. That or he's highly sensitive around leaks after the Tenth Doctor and Donna thing.

It would be a shame if it did have any impact on potential Big Finish releases after this one.

So Big Finish's worst kept secret is finally official. It'll be interesting to see what Big Finish do with the character, and bringing in the Ood is intriguing.

Ugh I couldn't stand the character of Jenny, and my feelings about Georgia Moffat are even worse.

Oh! I just noticed the Ood story is by Dorney. I think I like this set already and I haven't even heard it yet.

I didn't like the episode, the character of Jenny or the performance of Georgia....apart from that I'm very excited. In seriousness despite not liking those aspects, the character has potential and really that's all you need. I would like this to be tonally something quite different though rather than stories that could easily be DW, Benny, River or Charley. I don't have a reason to care - yet - and I hope that this gives us something fresh that I can latch on to. Much like New Earth, I'm not buying these blindly.

I will probably order it, but this is one of the rare instances where I will want to hear a trailer before I buy it.

Seeing Matt Fitton and John Dorney's names amongst the writers for this set has me confident there'll be some top notch material - and the audio debut of the Ood has me very happy indeed - so despite the fact that I didn't really care for "The Doctor's Daughter," I'm definitely willing to give this a shot. I'll hold off from pre-ordering, though, until I've heard a trailer, just to be safe.

Note that the product info page says it's a jewel case rather than a slipcover with a separate case for each disc. This may indicate they're not full cast stories.

A lot of ranges, full cast or not as released in this format now. Terrahawks, Charlotte Pollard and the New Counter Measures are all Prime examples, as well as the upcoming Tales from New Earth Box Set. I reckon the sure-fire big sellers get the full 4 cd cases like Eighth Doctor, River Song and First Doctor Adventures releases, whereas the more obscure and potentially experimental things such a Jenny, Charlotte Pollard and Tales From New Earth probably come in the jewel cases to keep costs down.

Yeah, I can't see why this wouldn't be full cast. The product info could also be wrong and it is four seperate cases in a slipcover.

Okay, have to ask, what do people have against the episode The Doctor's Daughter? At the time, I thought it was a great episode with a really cool twist. Now, I think it's a great episode with a really cool twist. Did I like Jenny then? Yes. Do I like Jenny know? Yes. People say they have issues with the episode though, and I'd love to know what they are

New Counter-Measures Series 1 is 4 jewel cases in a slipcover, described as '5-disc CD (slipcover box set)' Confusingly, Series 2 is described as '5-disc CD (jewel case in slipcover)' whatever that means? One multi-CD jewel case but still in a slipcover?? Doesn't seem likely. The 'Third Doctor Adventures' are a multi-CD jewel case without slipcover and from the reaction on here and comments on the Vol 3 interview CD I'd guess they are now big sellers? It's confusing, but as long as I can buy great stories from BF on a CD in a case with a free download, I will be happy!
