Geek Myths – Tales from the counter culture BLURB VERSION 01 27-7-17
Four Friends – Too young to be Generation X and too old to be millennia’s are overqualified and under paid in their dead end job. The only thing that keeps them going is their mutual love of all things SciFi and particularly their love of BBC TVs Doctor Who.
Between Leeds and Manchester is the Wode Moore shopping experience and at its heart is EDGE.
EDGE is your favourite megastore, it sells Books DVDs, Games and has the best coffee shop around. Behind the counter four friends wait to serve you, They all had dreams once, if only they could remember what they were...
A tale about Life, Love, Shopping, Sci-fi Conventions and the pursuit of Sonic Screwdrivers
Part Clerks. part Big Bang Theory; Geek Myths is an hilarious look at the ignored generation of modern young men heading for middle Age with no real destination in mind.
From Michael Gilroy-Sinclair – Host of the Doctor Who Tin Dog Podcast and author of Whostrology and Blue Box Messiah comes a book destined to start a new Genre – Geek Lit.

It sounds like me Should it be "A tale about life, love..." Not "live, love... "? Other than that, it reads well. Cheers Tony

Edited version
Better?
Four friends, overqualified and underpaid, wait behind the counter at EDGE to serve you. They all had dreams once, if they could only remember what they were. A tale about life, love, shopping and the pursuit of sonic screwdrivers, Geek Myths is part Generation X and part Big Bang Theory. From the author of Whostrology and Blue Box Messiah and the host of the Tin Dog Podcast comes a new genre of literature: Geek Lit

Tighter and more evocative Also, I'm only familiar with your work through the podcast and your comments on the board here, but Blue Box Messiah is such a great title that I think I need to seek out a copy as soon as I get home.

Xenniels is a term I found that was crafted to fit that societal cohort between X and Millennials.

Four friends share much; their place of work, their crap pay, and their costly and meaningless university educations.
They also share something else. They are all geeks.
Their love of science fiction and fantasy is the only thing that keeps them sane on a dreary Thursday, killing time behind the counter in “Edge”, the dullest shop this side of Gallifrey. They each had dreams once, lost in time like Sauron’s ring or Luke’s lightsabre down an air vent on Bespin.
A tale about life, love, shopping and the pursuit of mint, in box, merchandise, “Geek Myths” mixes the humour of “Big Bang” and the wit of “Clerks”.
From the author of “Whostrology”, “Blue Box Messiah” and the host of the “Tin Dog Podcast” comes a tale of Geek Lit. Don’t forget to pack your towel, you’re going to need it...

Not sure if I'd go with The Big Bang in your blurb - most geeks I know hate it.

It's defiantly a divivise show and potentially too divisie for your audience. A lot of people don't like how geeks are depicted in the series.Quick question: have you found a publisher? If it's a geek publisher, I'd suggest omitting the reference altogether. People will get the tone of your novel from the rest of the blurb.
