HAving rewatched Torchwood: Miracle Day I'd forgotten Teddy Sears was in it, and after X-Files S10/5 I see Lauren Ambrose AKA Jilly Kitzinger playing Special Agent Einstein opposite Special Agent Miller, played by Robbie Amell, so full circle we go Carter said the other day he's not got any interest in Einstein and Miller as a spinoff and intentionally didn't option their contracts or more beyond this mini-series. Fan reaction to them doesn't seem to have been great so I don't think, even if he's lying, there's a chance it goes ahead. What's the point? Mulder and Scully with different names? At least Dogett and Reyes shook up the status quo a bit. I had thought that the point of them was that others are out there and in their own way sort of following in Mulder & Scully's footsteps. Rather than as a spin-off or a set of replacements. That even if we never see them similar work continues.

Club and Den of Geek turned into a "thing". No-one wants or needs X-Files: TNG but as usual these days sites like those and social media seems to love "shared universes" and huge continuity. Oddly though, I was reading earlier on that there's a new series of YA X-Files novels coming out. It's going to be the teenage years of Mulder and Scully. Their lives before the X-Files. That's an odd route to take. We're off topic though Better say something DC.... Brandon Routh is less annoying in Legends than he is in Arrow. There

There was talk/rumour of Tom Welling playing Superman in one of the DC series, I feel with an actual movie Superman (and his film DIDN'T bomb, they just wanted "grimmer/darker") on their roster that Routh would have been the one to tap for this if it ever happened. As well as actually being a much better actor than Welling. Sort of on topic. Sort of.

Surprisingly, looking forward to DCs Legends of Tomorrow! Not a huge fan of Superhero tv/film, but this could be interesting!

Wow...this week's Arrow had one of the clunkiest lines I think I've heard - even for the CW.
"I didn't want to be a part of William's life without the opportunity for you to be a part of his life. John's made it clear I should have made made an effort be a part of William's life"

I'm sure with Grant Gustin's Flash meeting Melissa Benoist's Supergirl we'll get a Glee reference too.

It's funny actually, if you look up a Glee performance with Grant Gustin on YouTube, half the comments will be something along the lines of "Hey, it's Barry Allen/The Flash!".

So I reckon the surprise ending to LoT: Marooned was Snart covering his bases. by shooting at Rory he creates an "interruptible moment" in time. If they succeed in stopping Savage, future Snart will use his freeze gun to deflect the shot, saving Rory. If he fails, the 2016 CCPD will find Rory's frozen corpse, meaning everyone's families are safe.

I'm not sure if Captain Cold knows enough about time travel to determine whether that is possible or not.

Their entire mission is to change an event in the past, that being kill Savage before he meets the latest iteration of the Hawks. Snort's smart. He also knows how to play the odds. He'll have reasoned if they can do that, they can stop him from killing Rory.

But, apart from the fact that Cold doesn't know how to fly the Wave Rider, it gets more complicated when you change your own history. Stein already came close to screwing up his future.

it wont matter to Snart if he kills or doesn't kill Rory, so basically changing that moment in his history wont change him.

Well, Snart would know that if his cold gun hits and kills Heatwave that they are destined to fail, but if his attack is intercepted then they are destined to succeed. Besides, what difference would it make to their predicament if they succesfully defeat Savage? Heatwave will still be pissed off at them.
