It's when details like these are released that I regret not being able to subscribe to upcoming releases (hell, I barely manage to sub retrospectively). Having subbed last year, having not subbed this year has killed me, and not being able to do so again is so frustrating! It gives me something to look forward to (especially since I'm listening to the Main Range in order and am only up to The Raincloud Man), but that doesn't mean I can't be jealous of those of you who are subbed That's okay. You can always catch up later I am yet to listen to 90% of whatever I have subbed.

Looking at the My Account view for upcoming Releases it seems next year's 2 release month is December again. Regards mark687 Which will wrap up the rotating Doctors trilogy neatly by year end (that's assuming the Seven story in November is starting a Seven-Six-Five sequence.)

Also looks like everything up to NO 243 The Quantum Possibility Engine (except Iron Bright) has been recorded so BF not revealing the 6th Doc Companion combination yet for next year seems deliberate.

Can anyone verify Wikipedia's unsourced claim that Miranda Raison has recently had a baby? That might explain why Sixie's companion(s) for the next trilogy are as yet unannounced.

It does sound exciting - and the first in a trilogy apparently. But not a sequential trilogy presumably as the Sixie trilogy starts in May and it says the UNIT people are 'new characters who will recur across the Main Range.' And it's 'an adventure unlike any Main Range arc heard before…' Scott Handcock is listed as Producer for this story only (as well as author) and we know that each Doctor in the MR now has his own producer. So is he producing this trilogy and we have to wait a year for the next installment - with Five? Or with Six, then with Seven in 2020? (Or do we know more details about the trilogy already and I've missed reading it somewhere - again? )

April's The Helix Rift Previewed Or do we know more details about the trilogy already and I've missed reading it somewhere - again? I don't know, but The Helix Rift does sound exciting with it's Fifth Doctor/UNIT "crossover"... so interesting times ahead for the Main Range. Bring it on...

The wording "first Fifth Doctor/UNIT crossover" suggests that there will be a second Fifth Doctor/UNIT crossover. But that could just be sloppy wording...

Fifth Doctor solo and a new part of UNIT... I'm interested, especially as its first of a new trilogy. Could the seventh Doctor and Klein story be a part of it, after all Klein in her non-Nazi iteration does work for UNIT.

Agree, and they did say they were thinking of new ideas for the MR - first one's a good one! (And it does imply the MR - whatever they call it in future - is secure. So pleased I extended my sub well into next year! )

They could just mean it's the first ever Fifth+UNIT story (which it is). Or they could mean the other!

The inclusion of the word trilogy seemed odd as the next 3 releases after purport to be starring Colin Baker

It doesn't have to be a three-stories-in-a-row trilogy though. Any three linked stories would qualify I think? They do say it's ''an adventure unlike any Main Range arc heard before…' so it's something unusual. Maybe it's a trilogy split across the next three years, one story per year, either all with Five or maybe Six in 2019 and Seven in 2020. And Scott Handcock is producing only this story in the MR in 2018 - since each MR Doctor now has his own producer, perhaps he is Producer for a multi-year trilogy? It must be different as they say - and it sounds exciting.

The "trilogy" thing is probably just a mistake.

Red Planets sounds like an Ice Warrior story.

The "trilogy" thing is probably just a mistake. I doubt it. The word trilogy is used at least twice in the news piece and its usage seems awfully deliberate. As noted above, a trilogy doesn't have to mean they are sequential releases. The more 50th anniversary stories for UNIT the better and color me interested.

Confirmed in this week's Podcast the Helix Rift is 1st in a trilogy that will be "scattered throughout Future MRs the renaming of the Range to the Monthly Adventures will probably have happened by the time the last one is released"

(And I'm sure someone will find this post when I'm wrong! ) Very good to see BF are obviously committed to the MRs/MAs and have new ideas to push their flagship range into the future. (A future to which I'm well subbed, so of course I'm interested!) I wonder if the 'Helliax' are some new aliens who will be featuring through the trilogy? Looking forward to April.
