Do we know the title of release 255, the last of the 6/Peri trilogy? Seems like it's back to the 2 September releases, instead of December, too. Which Doctor do you think will have the last monthly of the year? Could mean the title is spoilerific in some way and will be announced nearer the time, like the Two Masters title in 2016, or else it may just mean it is not recorded yet

Plus it presumably forms a trilogy with the two double features that follow it. Or at least they’re all Fifth Doctor stories. So looks like no multi-doc trilogy this year and 2 5th dr trilogies instead
Or maybe they started getting withdrawal symptoms and realised they couldn't cope with the mental anguish after finally doing a 5th dr trilogy without Nyssa for the first time in 10 years at the start of 2019, so they had to do this one asap

Be interesting 5th and Cicero in professional life seems a good match. I wonder what Tegan will make of his personal life though could be some really good culture clashes in seeing it through the Modern Eye
More Short Stories means more adventures from more writers good times. Regards mark687 Same here, my first thought was, I hope the Doctor will tell Cicero that keeping people as slaves and treating women as second-class isn't right, or 'civilised' even if Romans like Cicero think they are civilised people. ('Can't rewrite history', I know and it won't be a surprise to the Doctor that Cicero is a Roman patrician of his era, but he can still comment on it.) My second thought was, Tegan will tell him.
I do hope it's a pure historical (as it appears to be), I loved the 'Cicero' series and definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't heard it yet (also now as 'homework' on his life and world before Five meets him.)

Well there was a multi-doc trilogy last year - the UNIT trilogy but for whatever reason it wasn't 3 consecutive releases. Seven seemed to have a lot in 2018 because his 5 releases were all one after the other, but he only had 1 more than the other 2 docs. The Dr split last year was 4-4-5 which is the same as most years, the exceptions being 2009, 2010 and 2014 in which one of the 3 docs got 2 trilogies and it now appears 2019 will be one of these exceptional years as well.
But I would definitely like to see 6 Six stories next year.

So that's at least eight releases for Peter 2019 - six in the monthly range, Legacy of Time and the not so secret 20th anniversary release.
I'm very happy with this 🙂

So are we thinking Six will get the December release, leaving Seven with only three to make up for the amount he had last year (including the New New Adventures)?

The two releases after Tartarus are also Nyssa/Tegan stories, according to Scott Handcock on Twitter.

Hopefully, the new 5th Doctor Trilogy will be on the same standard as the ones we had in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Whilst Kamelion was an interesting experiment, the standard of that trilogy was a bit of a disappointment compared to the previous years.
I do find it ironic that the 5th Doctor seems to be doing more historically inspired adventures - The Secret History, The Waters of Amsterdam, The Peterloo Massacre - especially as Davison wasn't keen on this approach when he played the role on screen in the 1980s. I, personally, prefer this type of story and think they make very strong releases (perhaps a version of Petwee's 'Tooting Bec effect'?)
Need to see what happens with Sixie - the arc from Static has to be resolved somewhere...

Also worth noting that it looks like Guy Adams is now the regular script editor for the Fifth Doctor's monthly range stories, and John Ainsworth is script editing Sixie in addition to producing and directing.

Me (June 2018): Oh, man, can't believe Big Finish is changing their Main Range covers! I'm so going to miss that classic layout, the classic logo, etc. Me (Literally every time I see a new Main Range cover): Oh, man, these full art covers are AMAZING! The old ones with the sidebar look so lame now... Don't know how, but each one seems to be getting better like, literally, every month.

Emissary of the Daleks as well! And is that a Cushing Dalek I see??Well, not quite - there's no yellow Cushing Dalek and it has a plunger instead of a claw, but it feels inspired by that at least

I think they're quickly getting the hang of making the best of the horizontal space that's available with the new design and I do very much like the results.

The Black & Gold (not yellow) Dalek featured is [or related to] the Dalek Supreme from Planet of the Daleks. Technically it is actually a 'Cushing Dalek', as the Dalek Supreme from Planet of the Daleks was made from parts of two Dalek props used in the Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150AD film. This Dalek had been owned by Terry Nation since that film was made in 1966.

Did I forget to mention that this Dalek has already appeared on a Big Finish cover... The Genocide Machine from May 2000?!
