(Great thread everyone, after some of the fraughtness of recent days, a reminder of why DU is a good forum - good people.) Now then... Made my day: remembering those steelbook pre-orders won't be put on my card until just before release next month... which is just as well considering what my '10% sale' order will look like on the scanner if I'm not careful... "Look at the size of that thing Doctor!" "Yes Jamie, that is a big one..." Being serious for a second; as others have said, pre-orders is the way to go. For example, the 4DAs Season 8 CDs @ £40.50 after discount on the subscription - which for 8 Fourth Doctor stories is some bargain. That's as far ahead as I'm looking (and as far ahead as much is listed... )

Well... I was planning on getting the last five releases I needed from the Main Range, the three I needed from EA S2, and the recent Bernice Summerfield releases and the Tony & Cassandra boxset...
Then I remembered that I needed to preorder a bunch of releases and that my MR sub ran out this month, so naturally, I've taken advantage and resubscribed to the MR and preordered the majority of the releases for the next six months... Happy days!

The thing about this sale is I have practically no money, could hardly have come at a worse time. I picked up one of the 1-50 audios I was missing and that was it.

I did a monthly range 6 CD subscription. I needed the 6 stories that lead up to my mega subscription that lasts until #262. Those are still fairly new releases and probably won't be on sale for a while yet so I used the code. That leaves only a mere 3 releases that I still need from the monthly range. A lovely feeling to be almost complete on that range.
I need a few of the 51-100 stories on download, too, since there's a handful there that I only have on CD so I'll probably go back and grab them now while the code is still active.

I have also done my bit to dispel the miserly Scotsman stereotype with a 209-220 sub and a pre-order on pretty much everything that I haven't already pre-ordered (I got that big pre-order bumper bundle that was on offer in January).
So that's the next Torchwood monthly subbed. Also got the B7 series 4 bundle and the next B7 book. Plus all the Time War box sets and the the upcoming First Doctor Adventures.
Additionally the next River, Churchill, Survivors, Vienna and Omega Factor box releases and the Omega Factor book.
By that time I was thinking in for a penny, in for nearly £600 so may as well get the tenth and eleventh doc chronicles too.
The 10% saving effectively means I got two free box sets and now have the next several years of delightful releases to eagerly await.

They're just jealous because more Scots per head of population have been cast as The Doctor than anywhere else on Earth. Also, they might think we're miserly, but that's just so we can be like this when the sales come :

That's the kind of hate speech I'd expect from Trump. I'm sorry, I'll have to report it to admins. Fake news! Sad! Also....don't make fun of too many Scots, I'm OK - but ones like Bobod will more than likely just spent the next 20 minutes listing things invented by Scots.
