The Prisoner teaser trailer is now live. Have you listened to it? What did you think of it? Are you interested in Nick's re-imagining?
Personally, I'm not so sure and to be honest the trailer hasn't convinced me to jump to pre-order.
Cheers
Tony

Yeah I am sorry to say I wasn't convinced and for the price I need to be convinced. No one in the cast really stands out for me. Well I don't know who No 6 is. I do wish Big Finish all the best with this endeavor and hope it does well for them.

I am reading some of the comments on the Facebook announcement and oh god half the people don't get it's an audio drama and think there is going to be another TV remake lol.
I guess it must have been promoted on the Prisoner page to bring over so many people who don't know what Big Finish is.

^ This is hilarious! ^
My Prisoner Blu ray arrived yesterday, so looking forward to watching with the missus - she's never watched it, but likes the original Avengers so ...
Cheers

I'm less excited after the trailer, sadly. If we're going to get what sounds like a very faithful adaptation then it makes the decision to do 2 remakes even more redundant. That's 22 quid for two stories we know well already...

I think you will find its three remakes, the opening Tv episode was called "Arrival" The BF 1st story is called "Departure and Arrival"There is not going to be much difference in the story line methinks!!The synopsis given on the website sounds very much the same as the original. But do not get me wrong.I am sure BF will do a great job with it.But its just not appealing to me at the moment, especially after this mornings announcement.

We'll see but Nick's teased we'll get a bit of backstory for No. 6 in the first tale so it may not be as close as the other two adaptations. If it was a 20 quid box, I'd be more inclined to jump on but this box costs more than the complete series on bluray...if it does well, is Vol 2 going to be more remakes? Time will tell.

That was why I decided to get the bluray instead (nothing at all to do with the sale lol). But it does make you think why the high cost, especially seeing as BF now have John Hurt at £20 a box ... Cheers Tony

Cheers Tony Yeah - you could get 3, nearly 4 copies of the complete series in the sale for the price of this BF release I'd imagine it's a very expensive licence. Even the download is 40 quid. With releases like Dark Eyes, New Adventures Of Benny (and presumably War Doctor), Jason's said the economies of scale make it easier to pass on a saving to the purchasers. The Prisoner is presumably going to be much more niche.

I'll be buying The Prisoner, I'm very excited about this series even though it is a bit pricey at £40.
And secondly....where is the Blu Ray sale?? Please tell.

Please tell. networkonair.com had a 6 day sale on with 60% off last week. I posted on here, but I guess there weren't many people around then. Shame BF pulled th eplug on the forum or more people would have known about it Cheers Tony

Yes I think you might be right about the 1st episode,i guess the main bugbear is the price!
