This is ok some very good liners "No need for a Pharos to Curse. Put your Head back on, its not much of head but it belongs on your shoulders"! and the indication that Erimem's secretly a wild child I wonder if it goes into farce but at the same time leaves the impression that despite intelligence the intruder is nothing more then a Pest and is treated as such, which seems at odds a bit when its coming from the 5th Doc. A cute little story - is the best way I can describe this I liked a lot of small things about this one - {Spoiler} Erimem's cat irritating the Doctor and his comment on Tardis trained pets The part where they make fun of the mouse - most hilarious

It's a fun little story, definitely not among my favorite of all time, though.

A pleasant diversion that doesn't outstay it's welcome. {Spoiler} Shayde crossing from the comics is a nice addition and the dynamic between the Doctor and Erimem is lovely: "You little sh-" "No need for a Pharaoh to curse."

This is short and fun. It's nothing special, but it's not trying to be, and it nicely fills in a gap that wouldn't justify a full length story.

A few things about this one... my first title for this was 'TARDIS Cutaway'. At one point I had the Second Doctor and Jamie in it a few times as silent echoes of the past but it didn't quite work. The story had a couple of purposes really. One was to show the similarities between the Doctor and Erimem... that they both left home in search of finding wonders, they were both curious, both rebelling against a life that's already set out... but also that they'd both think of their homes and their families sometimes. The other was that this was to be the first audio of the 40th anniversary year so it had to be a bit celebratory, a bit fun... and I wanted to show how funny Peter Davison is. He's a brilliant comedy actor but he didn't get much chance to show that in Doctor Who. I wanted to show him having a laugh, having fun and I thought with these companions he would have scope for some laughs. It wasn't a big or a profound story. I just wanted it to be an enjoyable way to spend half an hour with an old friend and a new friend. I wasn't at the recording but I believe they did it as-live, only stopping if they really needed to redo a line. By the way, the "You little shi..." line - I only wrote "You little...". I plead innocence to the last bit - no idea who added it but it really made me laugh when I heard it.

Thanks for the background on the story, iainmclaughlin! I do think you succeeded in what you were trying to do. Like I said, it was a fun little story. In general, I pretty much love Erimem stories anyway.
