Zoom don't charge untill it's ready for dispatch - you can lock in your pre-orders with them for the future just to be safe Yes, pre-orders are a no-lose bet (same with books etc. on Amazon.) Card isn't charged until just before dispatch & it's easy to cancel if needed.
No reason NOT to pre-order and (for this range) 10000 reasons to do so in good time then you can relax and anticipate! All Storted Cheers all

S10 dispatched by Zoom this morning - they tend to do next day delivery so fingers crossed for tomorrow! I ordered the new Criterion blurayedition of Swing Time which is also out next Monday and that arrived on Wednesday...why couldn't it be the other way round?! Oh well! Worse case scenario it'll be here Monday which is release date anyway. For the other Zoomers, I didn't get an email notification but just checked the order and it says despatched. Should be the same for you, I hope!

Mine has dispatched too. The Zoom website isn’t live, so orders tend to be dispatched before being marked as such on your account and getting a dispatch email. If they’ve been sent out last night and this morning, then there’s a very good chance they’ll arrive tomorrow.

I also see that S18 has now sold out on both Zoom & Amazon (which had 5 copies left just yesterday). S23 meanwhile is already collecting a number of one star advance reviews from the usual suspects.

My set was waiting for me when I came home from work this morning, so I know what I’ll be doing with the rest of my day!

'Doctor! We weren't expecting you until Monday!'
'Hello Jo! Yes, I suppose I am a bit early. It's an effect of temporal displacement in the zoomoid protocols you see; one finds one has arrived before one has officially begun the journey. It's all quite simple, really...'
'Well, not to me it isn't! The Brigadier will be pleased you're back early, he wants -'
'Jo, what Lethbridge-Stewart wants is neither here nor there! Because I am still there, not here - on the official timetable at least. And we all know how much the Brigadier likes his rules and correct procedure.'
'Doctor, sometimes you're very naughty! So what are we going to do with the two days you're not here - officially?'
'Well, I thought you might like to meet two old - relatives - of mine, then there's a little trip I had in mind to Metebelis III and - did I ever tell you about the Draconians...?'
[TARDIS door closes, advanced blu-ray device sound effect starts within]
'Oh Doctor, this is groovy!'

Well I was going out for the day so I wasn't going to wait in on the off chance. Just as well as ordered from Amazon (estimated delivery 15th July??). Good things come to those who wait eh? Taps finger patiently, Davros style...

Or a Ginger Beer for Old Tom (as if!)... On the Pop theme, for me its a Shandy 'sans Lemonade' I guess

I'd recommend anyone with the set who hasn't done so drop everything and watch the Looking For Lennie documentary about Lennie Mayne. A truly fascninating, touching piece. As wonderful as the Looking For Peter doc on The Sensorites DVD. Get on it!

I'm sure Tom outsells all the other classic Doctors, whatever the range is - TV, audios, books. He's unique in all of Space and Time! S18 is a newer release of course (mid March) so S19 had a three months' head start. When S18 goes OOP we should be able to tell but I bet it won't take 6 months - unless they produced more copies because it was a Tom season.
Well I guess that answers the question about relative popularity and sales.
Assuming they produced the same number of each, S19 sold out in a little over 6 months, S18 is on the very edge of selling out after just over 3.

It would match what we've been told about sales in the past, pre-bluray. Dan Hall, who ran 2Entertain in the DVD era gave the most explicit comment on sales and popularity. It's nearly decade old titbits but I'd imagine it holds true give or take. Tom outsold everyone with Pertwee and Davison being strong sellers jostling for second but not near Tom-level. Colin and Sylv were the lower sellers of the colour era though the black and whites always sold worse than any colour stories, even Colin or Sylv's less popular, unless there was a monster like Daleks or Cybermen involved or it was a monumental release like The Beginning boxset (which, included Daleks as well of course). Sadly animations sold worse than any of the other releases and lost money hence why they died out before Charles Norton and co managed to find a new model to do them economically in the past couple of years. The biggest selling titles on DVD by a country mile were Genesis and Five Doctors. Again, that's a good few years ago and things like the miraculous Troughton recoveries will no doubt have meant his titles sold a lot better in the anniversary year when they were found but I think it seems Dan's "rankings" hold true. It's not far off what you'd imagine either based on things like the DWM rankings and general pop culture perceptions of the individual Doctors. I kinda miss Dan, he'd be very open to these kind of specifics but I guess just like Colin's infamous argument with DWM over their rankings if you say something is the top...you end up saying something is the bottom so it was more tactful not to put out info like that. Tangentially, BF have always been very cagey about who sells what comparatively but I'm sure they've said Sirens Of Time and Destination Nerva are two of the biggest sellers they've ever had. With Nerva being released well over a decade after BF got the Who gig, it'd seem the Tom effect holds true on audio too. I know Nick has said that's one reason they don't put him in the main range - there are quite a lot who came on board for Tom and only want his titles.

Differing sales would mean there are some fans who don't buy everything. I mean ... seriously? How can anyone be a fan and not buy everything? I couldn't sleep at night knowing my collection was in some way incomplete.
Only kidding
