mark687 Iris? on Radio Three?!! How wonderful! Just imagine the unsuspecting Bach fans who tune in for 'Book 1 of Bach's The Well-Tempered Clavier' and then get Iris as an encore... 'Ooh eck! Ecky thump!!' I will be in the listening audience for both now I know they're on; it's amazing what treasures you pick up on DU, thanks Mark!

Oh my!
How do I listen to that as someone sipping coffee in Iowa?

monologue - yes short story - no
it's Iris talking about herself - introducing herself to people who have never heard of her or her bus
it was after a poem regarding people complaining about the Doctor's upcoming change and before a quiz of lines read out in "dalek voice" asking whether the line was originally said by the Doctor or a Dalek

Yay more Iris!
Later- intersting to hear how Paul Magrs was inspired by family members. It would be fun to meet some of his aunts!

I thought it was rather a nice introduction to Iris and of course Katy did a lovely job with it.

Enjoyed the DW segment, though wish the Manning + Magrs section was much longer - elsewhere there was too much poetry, I fast forwarded most of that. Assume it is a poetry programme, not sure as never listen to Radio 3. Think it's the first time ever I've listened to anything on 3.
