It seems like CD burning in iTunes is completely jacked up since recent iTunes updates. Looking at threads like this discussions.apple.com/thread/8198959 it does not appear to be just me. My issue seems to be specifically that LONG playlists that span multiple discs never complete as iTunes keeps asking for disc after disc, even though I KNOW a particular playlist should only be two discs. e.g. The First Doctor Adventures have m4b files per story, rather than a m4b file per disc. That means I have to let iTunes span it across two discs. But it just keeps asking for another disc again and again. I'll be following the iTunes thread to see if there's a resolution, but right now I'm very frustrated. Any alternatives to iTunes for burning m4b files? I like the gapless result and would prefer not to have to switch to MP3.

Yes...revert to an earlier version of iTunes......
Apple are slowly eroding trust and confidence in their products. iOS 11, slow downs, iPhone X, security issues to name a few, iTunes is a complete mess it’s less useable now than it was five years ago.
Troubled times in the Apple kingdom, nothing fatal but they are having a rocky time.
But as you did put what you use or op system not sure what to advise.

I started using Tomahawk -it is a freeware program. It will import your iTunes library and allow you to creat playlists. Works like a charm. The only problem I’ve noticed is that the Mac version doesn’t seem to show the art work.
The latest iTunes not only won’t list audiobooks in alphabetical order, it also mass replicates the audio book library. Right now iTunes tells me I have nearly three terabytes in audiobooks - on a 500 gig hard drive. I’d love to know. What I’m doing to have developed a TARDIS drive for laptop storage.
