Did anybody else watch this today?
Great to see this show back on TV. Looks set to be a very strong series. Only six out of twelve have actually performed but there are already three who could be in the final - Perry, Kem and Jake - and no joke act (the closest is Antony Cotton - despite not being the worst tonight he brought a lot of the comedy).

Yeah I watched it.....
Although it’s great to see it return, it’s not without its teething troubles.
The new voice over man was terrible, the set felt disjointed with the training and main rinks and the want to reinvent its self felt a bit of a change too far.
And what’s up with Phil n holly are they now joined at the hip.....they need to have their own sections like before.
That said it’s a fun show apart from the loathsome Jason Gardner the judge we love to hate and I still certainly hate him.
The celebs feel a bit bargain bin, more zelebrities than celebrities not that it matters most of the time I only know half of then on launch show.

The new voice over man was terrible, I totally agree. He's too loud and over-bearing. Such a shame that the guy who used to do it passed away. He was brilliant. I actually love the new set. The old one looked quite dated towards the end, whereas this set feels much more modern. Same with the slightly altered version of the theme. I quite like that the professional skaters are choreographing the routine now but I do feel like Torvill and Dean need more involvement. It's ridiculous that ITV haven't insured them to go on the ice. That's my only gripe bar the commentator with the new format. Everything else is great; I love Ashley Banjo as a judge. Massive improvement over Louie Spence and Ashley Roberts. Personally I quite like them together. They have a beautiful friendship; Philip Schofield defending Holly when Jason Gardiner had a go at her was one of the highlights of tonight's show for me. Yeah, I wish they'd got better celebrities. Fair play to them though; they all ranged from good to great tonight.

Didn't like it, to many ad breaks & padding, Torvill & Dean don't work as judges (get them back on the ice) & the voice over man is irritating.
Jason Gardener the best thing about it, my choice for the next Master & Holly is fit to look at.

She needs to be more critical.

Flipping heck, Dancing On Ice got massive ratings last night. 7.55m overnight, with a peak of 8.6m. ITV will be very happy with that.

Yeah, the terrible common taytor, quit yesterday......replaced by someone not quite as terrible, with a significantly reduced role.
Tonight’s show was ok again, was shocked they kept Lamar as he was really poor, candice not much better but at least put in a clean routine
But travesty of the night....what was Schofield wearing? Holly not much better either.......an investigation into wardrobe is in order.

Much better commentator, stronger talent, a more constructive Jane Torvill and more skating (thanks to the skate off). Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby looked like they were dressed to go to a funeral. I was wondering if someone had died!

The show is haemorrhaging viewers. 4.8 million for last night. It was trounced by Call the Midwife with 7.9 million.

It was a genius idea to bring it back, but they made a big mistake by not insuring Torvill and Dean to go on the ice. It would be getting at least a million more viewers now if Torvill and Dean were doing the choreography like they used to. Hopefully next series they get them back off the judging panel and onto the rink.

Right ones left tonight. Donna Air was never as good as the judges kept making out, and Antony Cotton was by far the weakest skater tonight. Surprised Max Evans was in the skate-off; thought it would have been Alex Beresford.

Great Dancing On Ice tonight. Celebrities all on top form bar Alex Beresford, who deservedly came fifth place tonight. Shocked that Kem Cetinay was in the skate off given he is the second best skater after Jake Quickenden.

Fantastic semi-final last night. All strong skaters, and looking to be a brilliant final with Jake Quickenden, Max Evans and Brooke Vincent. Jake Quickenden should still easily win but the other two remaining give some entertaining routines too.
