After hearing about the death of Peter Wyngarde it got me thinking that his series Jason King, & its predessesor Department S would be a great fit for Big Finish. Am I alone in this?

I think they would both work - personally I prefer Department S and am not as familiar with Jason King's own series

My huge enjoyment of The Avengers Steed and Keel sets (something I wasn't initially sure would be for me) makes me think any of those wonderful old ITC (and similar) shows would be a welcome addition to Big Finish's catalogue. Man in a Suitcase would be my choice.

Man in a Suitcase would be my choice. Yep there's lots in the ITC back catalogue that would be great done by Big Finish. A new Jason King (obviously set during the same time period as the show) would be great fun if done in the same light-hearted tone.

I think you'd be hard pushed to carry it off without the utterly iconic Peter Wyngarde. ITC series are often defined by their stars and recasts would be difficult. Having said that I would like Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) with the ghost being realized on audio by an echo-y quality in the voice.

Personally I have no great attachment to those old ITC series, but Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) would be very welcome.

Great idea! Department S could work really well on audio; depending on who is cast as Jason King. It has always reminded me of The Avengers. Particularly as Annabel Hurst seemed similar to Tara King - at least superficially - although Tara tended to get far more involved in the action than Annabel ever did.
Thinking of it, most of those old ITC series could work well on audio. Other than Department S, The Champions or Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased)would also get my vote.

Yes, I'd love The Champions on audio!
