Interesting choice - I don't think anyone predicted that? I think she could be very good - my primary concern was that Diana Rigg's timing is so perfect, it would be hard to match that, but Poulet has a track record of deadpan comedy (now I must go and rewatch The Thick of It, if I can do that without thinking of Malcolm Tucker as the Doctor now). Poulet, like Wadham, is about 10 years older taking on the role than her TV counterpart. I did wonder if the hair colour is especially to make her look more like Diana Rigg? Hope not - Howell didn't have to be clean shaven like Hendry! Mind you, nobody will be able to tear the eyes away from Wadham's tie on that cover - eeeowch. Hope we get some Black & White Peel episodes at some point...

Really? Honestly seems a perfectly standard looking tie to me.
In what way? Remakes?

No, not remakes! But series 4 is my favourite - so set in that era (slightly less wackiness and slapstick, but lots more style). I think the comic strips, which I haven't read, were drawn in colour and released in very late '66 and '67 - the same year series 5 was broadcast. I have every confidence Big Finish can make Black & White on audio - the Lost Episodes and Counter Measures being great examples - though maybe the New Counter Measures will be in colour...?

Got you now - I see what you mean. Some in each style. Like doing Tom and Lalla audios set in S17 and in S18.
BTW if Olivia's hair has been coloured, maybe its because the product is tying in with comic strips images, they're not just recasting the part as new.

Sounds like good casting. She was good as foil in The Thick of It. She does pop up in supporting roles quite a bit.

Murdersville and The Joker are among my favourite episodes! I don't imagine the comic strips contain Steed-lite, or Peel-lite episodes (I guess these were motivated by logistics and scheduling actors' leave)? We know we'll get these in the Steed/Keel range... But I'd certainly be interested to hear Poulet in a solo-type episode, if BF ever get to do original stories, and want to follow that pattern.

Well she looks the part!
Now all Big Finish need to do is release a teaser audio so that I can hear her in character.
Then I expect to be £45 poorer!

Well that confirms that they did amend her hair colour for the cover!

Can't wait, the fact that they are coming out in conjunction with the other releases is great, no having to wait for the Keel adventures to finish.

Is it me or does the bowler hat look really awkward in all those pictures?
