On the plus side, I grabbed the very last Lego Dimensions starter set off the shelf of our local Toys R Us for a mere $20.
Then I went online and spent twice as much on level packs, which probably explains the mystery of why Toys R Us went out of business.

Well unlike many, I can't find it in myself to be sorry about the Toys r Us passing.
Why?
Well, dates back to my own childhood.
Sheffield, the place I grew up, used to have a specialist children's toy department store called "Redgates".
Toy's R Us opened up across the road from it, way before they opened any other UK stores, it was big news in Sheffield at the time, and I suspect was their first foray outside of the US.
It killed Redgates, within a few months Redgates was gone, and then to add salt to the wound, Toys R Us closed a year later and didn't return to the UK for a good few years.
I've never been into a Toy's R Us since.
