Just started listening to this series and its quite bloody great isn't it and i wanted to chronicle my journey through the series (Theres no series 1 thread so i made one if thats okay) The Mahogony murderers was a nice little story and a great prelude to series 1. (Don’t understand how some people didlike the companion chronicles theyre some of the best big finish releases) The bloodless soldier is another great story with some great chracter momemts and sets up the cos fir the series quite nicely As for the bellova devil...got to admit j wasn’t too fond. I tried three times to get into it and i just couldnt understand it really...still two out of three aint at bad is it. Very excited to carry on with this series, seems to be an exciting adventure ahead!

Instead of a thread for Series 1, maybe repurpose or retitle this as a thread chronicling your J&L experience as you progress?

Ok I got the downloads free when I bough a Christmas gift for someone else😉 So I can give my well worn CDs a wee rest and play outside of my flat lol....there is something magical about Jago and Litefoot when you switch on and I don’t mean the dilution with that OTHER range.
I think it may be the Who range crowning glory really and I have to admit a real Festive listen as well...so here I go with the second story (Mahogany being the first) The Bloodless Soldier-Justin Richards
you know if they had not been a part of Doctor Who and removed all the science fiction elements these creations would have STILL thrived as a detective duo so strong were the characters even in Talons.
Rest In Peace Trevor Baxter gone but never forgotten

I always likened it to meeting up with old friends myself. And what I wouldn’t give to somehow spend an evening in the Red Tavern with the good Professor Litefoot and the ever verbose Jago.

Yes got to agree with you there...I would still enjoy an audio or two of Christopher narrating some adventures with maybe just him and Ellie am no fan of Paternoster and am afraid I wasn’t tempted lol

Wow to think i made this thread so long ago and never bothered updating it! Well actually that might be because my Jago and Litefoot journey didn’t last very long. For reasons that i can’t remember nor understand now, the first set just didn’t vibe with me at all and i didn’t listen to the later series. I can only speculate why - i only had spotify on the laptop back then which isn’t the best experience ever. I may have also had the wrong expectations going in, expecting a bigger scale series perhaps? No idea tbh.
The good thing is on this relsiten it landed much better for me. Theres just such a joy listening to Benjamin and Baxters performances as well as the Jago and Litefoot interactions that i really didn’t appreciate first time around. Make no mistake i don’t think these are the greatest stories of all time but thats not what Jago and Litefoot is about, its about the rich Victorian setting, how Jago and Litefoot react with each other and with the cast around them and the difference that are their between them and i really loved that this time in a way i missed before. Certainly, i am much more confident that i am going to go onto season 2 etc etc this time unlike last time. A truly Great series.
