I had a random thought in my head this morning and wondered what you all would think - what if Blake Ritson played a pre-Delgado Master, possibly in the 3DAs? I personally think he has the perfect voice for it, as it's very quiet and measured. I mean, imagine, for a microspan, him saying, 'I am the Master, and you will obey me.' Wouldn't it just scare you out of your socks?

I’m not a 3DA listener, so I’m quite happy for you guys (and gals!) to enjoy them any way you like

I agree he would make an excellent Master, however Big Finish already have several at their disposal, so I am not sure he is needed at this time. Thinking about it he would also make an excellent Rassilon in the Time War.

I did a quick check of the name and it turns out I know him as Hawkwood the Deserter from Dark Souls III, nothing quite like that purring down your ear.
A while back, someone came up with the idea of the Time Lords dispatching a minder for the Third Doctor, sometime immediately before The Three Doctors. A parole officer of sorts to check up on the progress of his exile. *points* He could be rather ideal.

I am surprised that Big Finish didn’t do something a little bit different with the casting of Rassilon.

I’m leery of pre-Delgado Masters in post-Delgado stories. But Riston as the Master, or The Raj (aka the Ronny aka a male Rani) works for me.

i've always thought Delgado as the first master I always thought of him as the 12th Master, since the subsequent (as far as we know) incarnation was the crispy Master who was on his last life (ie: his 13th).

i've always thought Delgado as the first master Well, Roger Delgado was the first actor to play The Master on TV, so technically he is! But there's nothing to say there wasn't unseen incarnations. It all depends on how you view the expanded universe.
[For the sake of everyone's sanity we won't do The War Games thing that we used to do with Magnus on the old forums here!]
