I've been acquiring these over the last couple of months from eBay. I've got the first 19 so far, all in new or near mint condition.
Books 20 onwards seem to be rarer and much more expensive. Does anyone know if there's a reason for this, such as perhaps much smaller print runs of the later books?

Presumably its to do with the license revocation, and smaller print runs as a result.

That's the same reason books like Dying Days, Lugbarrow and Well-Mannered War are so expensive.

I have also now acquired a complete set of Vortex magazines. I did note with a tinge of despair the back page of a couple of old issues that were ads for the Short Trips books fire sale.
Sadly I was blissfully unaware of Big Finish back then or else I would surely have had a complete set of these for years.
I've got the first 21 Short Trips books now though, so only 8 more to find.

Slightly off topic here, but do you think they'd ever consider re-releasing some of the out of print short stories as audiobooks? And would anyone be interested?
Maybe download only or in print on demand doctor specific box sets?
I suppose there wouldn't really be a financial incentive to do so (answered my own question their I suppose), but it would be nice to have easier access to some of the older short stories.

The contracts with the writers might not allow audio versions

Museum Peace... Thanks for the list, I'm not a main range subscriber (I can't justify spending that kinda of money at the moment, and I don't know the 5-7th Doctors very well at all) but that's a very useful reference point that I'll certainly keep in mind for the future. I've read up on a few of the short trips, and I'm wondering if they would remake Museum Peace as a fullcast audio for McGann's timewar stuff...
