Bit surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet but Michael Pickwoad has sadly passed away. As the show's production designer he's been responsible for the way the show has looked since 2010. He designed the Smith/Capaldi TARDIS interior and was working on the show right up till The Doctor Falls and Twice Upon A Time and also worked on Class. His father, incidentally, was William Mervyn who was memorably in The War Machines as Sir Charles. A huge part of the Moffat era. Whatever you think of the show's writing, or tone....some of the design work Michael contributed - especially in the face of BBC budget cuts - has made the show hold it's own next to big budget US shows and films. He'll be missed. And he rocked bowties before the Eleventh Doctor!

Sad news. I saw a few posts on Twitter and FB about him.

Hello again.
Very sad to hear about the passing of Michael Pickwoad. To often the work of designers is forgotten or overlooked. Design in Doctor Who is one of the strengths of the show. Michael's iteration of the TARDIS is my favourite of the new recent designs. That highly obvious example of his work will be there for fans to appreciate for years to come when they watch Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi's episodes

There's a nice little interview with Michael Pickwoad, recorded at 2017's Whoverville convention, on the tale end of the latest Staggering Stories podcast (#297) - well worth a listen!
