Meh...that's peanuts. I, Davros part 2 is currently on sale on Amazon for a mere £1,822.84.
Oh..and postage is £4.33...

Amazon really needs to fix the algorithm that causes that...

That’s nuts. Would someone really pay that much?

I just hope my wife never sees this and realises the value of my CD collection could easily pay for our next family holiday ...

How would she realize that if she never sees this?

Ah! A reasonable $130.48. Given some of the other prices I've seen it at, I'm almost tempted to nab it.

The definitive article, so it's got a lot of sentimental value (and beats trying to grab it for $500-$1000). That said, I think I'll wait until I'm middle-aged and rich before I start spending three-figures on a novel. Special or not.

You know i always trust The Big Man when i want something many a time when i least expected it he provided the article and then when got you are like...well what was the fuss about? If you had read it already why didn’t you keep the copy.I read it online years ago. if a copy ever falls into my hands i will be sure to keep you in mind(for a cheaper rate😂

Still have a copy of the ebook from the BBC site, but there's something about having a physical novel on your shelf which I find really special. I like being able to hold it in my hands and flick through the pages. But, as you say, who knows? It might just pop up one day when I least expect it. I got The Dying Days that way; a friend of mine gave it to me as a gift.

That is so funny mentioning the ebook i looked through my old files and there it was, thanks for the reminder the way you feel about books is the way i feel about CDs

Seems more and more possible in a day and age where you can get The Crusaders or The Zarbi in hardback for $15. Exactly how I feel as well, and about cds/dvds/vinyl etc. Yeah, I don't think the digital medium will ever completely replace physical media, particularly for me. Books have a sense of permanency about them. There's something about those yellowed pages and that grassy vanilla smell that I really enjoy. I'm actually looking over some of the old video cassettes we have of when NuWho was airing and classic Who was reairing. I'm really tempted to see if they still run.

But not paying over $100. Especially for a book that's listed as being in "good" condition. I've been burned in the past by resellers who listed books as being in "good" condition and they were not. I'll only go for used books in "very good" condition or better, and usually don't pay more than $40 for an out of print NA or MA.

I know what you mean, I tend to skirt around any listing that doesn't have a photograph of the book itself. The daggiest copy has to be... Transit, from the looks of things. Spinal wear, a few dog-eared pages; I read it in art class once upon a time. The binding in the spine's held up remarkably well... unlike the copy of Thunderball, which has just now haemorrhaged its first act onto the floor. Bother.
