I would be astonished if the Fifth Doctor Boxset wasn't part of next week's sales - although I am a little surprised that they haven't taken an opportunity this week to try and shift more copies of the Novel Adaptations deluxe booksets, given they never pass up an opportunity to put those on sale.

Until next week's Fifth Doctor sale.. 😊 I'm going to guess... The Fifth Doctor Box Set Fanfare for the Common Men And the three Fifth Doctor Lost Stories 1/3* but I'll also give myself a quarter of a point for "trilogy of Nyssa and Tegan stories". NEXT WEEK PREDICITON: - Criss-Cross trilogy - The Nightmare Fair - The Last Adventure *Although as cwm said, the Fifth Doc box set was practically guaranteed...

You can get Cold Fusion cheaper in the Randomoid Selectotron offers, which seems something of an oversight.
I think The Last Adventure seems obvious - but I'm surprised they didn't take the opportunity to put one or both of the novel adaptations booksets on sale for the Tom offers last week, so maybe not? I don't think the Amsterdam/Aquitaine/Peterloo trilogy has been on offer before, and the Criss-Cross trilogy was on offer for Colin's birthday earlier this year, so we might get the Order of the Daleks trilogy instead.

I was never really interested in that one. But everybody is raving about it. Maybe I might try it out....

I bought The Waters of Amsterdam, Aquitaine and The Peterloo Massacre. This trilogy has been at the top of my wish list for a while, just awaiting a sale offer, so well pleased that they came up just 2 years from release.
I already have Cold Fusion and the Fifth Doctor Box set, but this was the most productive week of the promotion, as I only opted for The Yes Men up to this point, to complete the Early Adventures Series 2. Found that one unusually flat on listening two weeks ago though. I thought it was my attention wandering during the second half, but reading **** ****** reviews, I see others were left wondering 'what was the point it was trying to make?'. Lots of setting up ideas ten gradually it loses a sense of a central narrative backbone.
Whats the chances of a GENUINE bargain reduction for 'The Last Adventure' this Sunday? Don't have too many 6th Doctor gaps but at £45 for a 4 disc story, one could have both volumes (8 discs) of the Classic Doctors/New Monsters for the same which would at least fit on the shelf. Hmmm - tempting...

I hardly ever post on here but got The Fifth Doctor Box Set and 5's Main Range trilogy on the offer. What can I say 2 hours later and The Peterloo Massacre is probably the best blind buy I've ever made in any medium ever! Absolutely outstanding stuff!!

6th Doc Week www.bigfinish.com/offers/v/regenerateCode DOCTOR13 DW MRs Criss-Cross Planet of The Rani Shield of The Jo^tunn (All £6 CD/£5DL each) DOTD Shockwave £2 CD/£0.99 DL 6th Doc The Last Adventure £25 CD/£20 DL Regards mark687 Yay, got "Criss- Cross" and "Planet of the Rani". Not sure about "Shield of the Jotünn", it appears to be a very standard "nothing new to see here" type of story, so I am holding back on that one for now. Maybe someone chimes in and changes my mind...

Agree with mark687 - Shield of the Jotunn is worth a listen. Probably one where being an audio adventure works better than a TV adventure (certainly on old 1980s production values for Colin Baker). It's a real comic-book type epic and is a fantastical set-up (snow in Arizona!!) and plays on great Norse mythos. Possibly not as good as Pyramid of Mars, but certainly a similar approach. Miranda Raision comes off well in this too as Constance. If anything, thought Planet of the Rani was the dud out of the trilogy. Criss-Cross great and Joutnn was good. Couldn't get into the Rani one for some reason.
