Just amazes me how much Season 5 has been either re-discovered or re-created since the 90s. Wonderful stuff.

Horrible sinking feeling (I hope I'm wrong): what if this is what was already completed when the project was cancelled, as rumored?

Horrible sinking feeling (I hope I'm wrong): what if this is what was already completed when the project was cancelled, as rumored? We'll still have the Loose Canon reconstructions where this footage comes from: Not quite the same, I know, but worst comes to worst, it's still something.

If I was Britbox and I'd just commissioned a reconstruction only to have the BBC commission an animated version, I'd be a little miffed. But fortunately, I'm not Britbox, so I'm delighted.

I'm sad that it's only going to be 10 minutes from the first episode Hopefully the recently listed Macra Terror DVD will be fully animated

Charles Norton has posted a clarification online that it is only 10 minutes for the BFI and not part of a project to animate the whole thing.

Charles Norton has posted a clarification online that it is only 10 minutes for the BFI and not part of a project to animate the whole thing. He is also notable for lying about not working on Power of the Daleks, just weeks before it was officially announced. I must confess things like this are rather frustrating because there’s little to no co-ordination between the parties involved. We are not the enemy, we’re fans and customers. Either work together to make the projects entirely secret, or reassure something is being worked on and further information will be officially released in due course. We’ve got listings for The Macra Terror and The Wheel In Space on Amazon US, rumours both are being animated, confirmation that at least 10 minutes of the latter has been animated and then someone involved in the project saying it’s nothing more than a 10 minute minisode. Which brings us back to the Amazon listings...! This isn’t anything entitled, I’m far from being like that! The expense that will have gone into animating 10 minutes of The Wheel in Space for the BFI, it just doesn’t make any sense, both financial and logical. It has to be a preview of a forthcoming release.

I would imagine either it is all animated but they are not allowed to announce it yet or else the animation started but for some reason the plug was pulled on the whole project, so the 10 minutes is all they have
BTW the link to what I referred to earlier

Cheers for the link
Honestly the PR on wider DW these days is dire.
So a select few can see what we've done, we may or may not do more though.
