The first tier comes with the core RPG, All the Strange, Strange Creatures Volume 1 and Paternoster Investigations.
If you pay more than the average you will also get Gamemaster’s Companion, The Black Archive, The Silurian Age and All of Time and Space Volume 1.
10% of the payment goes to BBC Children in Need.

Just in case anybody else like me isn't smart enough to follow theotherjosh's link, this isn't actually a Humble Bundle thing so far as I can see (it's not mentioned on their website) but it's somebody else doing the same sort of thing.

Alas, I think I'm probably a bit too old for RPGs. Oh, wait - Paternosters? Really? Can I be Strax?

I don't have many of these, but I own others in the series and they're interesting because the authors are all clearly huge fans of the program and they have a very interesting way of evaluating things. They'll take a critical look at First Doctor stories (for instance) and try to reconcile seeming contradictions with facts that would be established later in the series. I've only ever played once, but I like the books as reference works and a source of inspiration.

And as a lovely bonus for those who get the core books there's also a series of unofficial sourcebooks giving stats and details to Expanded Universe creations here. From Iris Wildthyme to the Viyrans. From Erimem to the Rocket Men. A fairly comprehensive list covering incarnations from First to Sixth (so far) and written to be completely compatible with the RPG system used in the official releases. Enjoy.

Those are some nice looking books! I'm really looking forward to the Seventh Doctor. I want to see what they do with Klein.

What's the RPG like? Do players play as the Doctor and Companions or is it just set in the DW universe?

Now i have to work out how to get all my nerd friends to play a Doctor who RPG. They're all Trekkies. An old trick we used to do with FASA's Doctor Who RPG was take the corebook and combine it with Adventures from other series produced by the same company. As they more or less used the same system, you could have the Doctor and his companions rock up in time for A Doomsday Like Any Other with the Draconians replacing the Federation* and the Earth Empire replacing the Romulans. Cubicle 7 looks to have another series based off a space opera setting called Rocket Age that could be worth looking at, it uses the same Vortex system that Who does.
(* - Their ssssibilent sssspeech ended up rather fun.)
