Last two seem to get some chatter going, so let's tackle another NuWho staple. Snappy, one-two sentence thoughts on:
-School Reunion -Vampires of Venice -The God Complex
-A Town Called Mercy -Under the Lake/Before the Flood -The Lie of the Land

Couldn't tell you much about Vampires of Venice that isn't either "it's got vampires", "it's in Venice" or involving Rory's introduction to the TARDIS.
The Lie of the Land was my least favourite Who in a while, but it was the third in a rapidly declining trilogy IMO, so some of the blame falls on the previous episode and the plotting of the series as a whole.
The rest, I liked. The best is probably The God Complex, but there are good things in the others as well - including my own introduction to Sarah Jane and K9!

-School Reunion “My Sarah Jane”. ”Bad Dog” ... “Afirmative!”
-Vampires of Venice that scene with the Doctor sitting, smugly, in the queen’s chair.
-The God Complex Umm.... ahh.... dont remmber this one at all.
-A Town Called Mercy Criminal underuse Of Ben Browder. Criminal overuse of “grr, I’m grimdark” on thr Doctor’s part.
-Under the Lake/Before the Flood what exactly was the point of rhe Doctor forgetting how to sign? ohh the stupid as hell “how to relate to people” cards.
-The Lie of the Land I liked the whole “Bill’s humanity saves the day” bit. the fake out regeneration was naff.

My favourite Whithouse story would be the magnificent, dark, beautiful Under the Lake/Before the Flood. This is a favourite story in any era, in any medium.
Vampires of Venice is great to look at, has a great villain, showcases Matt's (at the time) new Doctor well - I was only disappointed by the finale.
School Reunion is a very average story lifted by some wonderful scenes and writing for Sarah Jane and K-9. That final scene still brings a tear to the eye.
The Lie of the Land is a plodding episode in a plodding trilogy. It's great to have such a long story in modern Doctor Who, but the idea isn't strong enough to sustain it.
A Town Called Mercy - great fun.
The God Complex - an excellent, though unspectacular story.
Would I welcome the appointment of Toby Whithouse as the next show-runner? Heck, yes.

School Reuion
1st great favourite of the Modern Era
The TARDIS reveal in the gym is pure fan chills
Sladen Tennent and Stewart-Head are awesome and K9 3 goes out like a bad a**
Vampire of Venice
Aside from Rory and Doctor establishing each others credentials an average EP
The God Complex
Average all round
A Town Called Mercy
With re-watches this has grown on me, good setting, nice debates on responsibility and ends justifying means
Under/Before
Under is a great showcase for Capaldi its just a shame Before reverts to "Clara knows it all" mode.
Lie
As others have said and if not for really good performances from Capaldi and Mackie its plodding
Regards
