Was it just the first episode?
There *is* only one episode in "Mission to the Unknown"...

Thanks all. If this ever came out on DVD or blu-ray there will be plenty of room for behind the scenes stuff!

I thought it was very lovingly done and well made. My only slight criticism would be the initial Dalek Control Room scene was a little juddery; it looked like action figure stop motion in places.

I couldn't be more amazed by how authentic it turned out. Extremely faithful to the original production, capturing the essence of the 1960s (in black and white), this is truly one of the best recreations I have ever seen. Bravo to all the cast and crew involved! BRAVO!! 👏

Hello again.
Loved it. Seeing Edward de Souza introduce it,the intro from Galaxy 4, the jungle sets, an excellent Marc Corey, the Daleks in all their Sixties pomp and the ridiculous looking Varga plants.
Really high production values, great experience for the students concerned and lovely to see a piece of lost 60s Doctor Who, 54 years after its original broadcast.
Excellent job, well done to all those involved. More please!

This was outstanding. These students have a bright future. I love the claustrophobic feel of so many of the First Doctor stories.

That was just fantastic! Honestly, I was expecting it to feel a little homespun, but it really was very, very good. It felt so incredibly authentic from start to finish, I'd almost buy this was the original. The only thing that slightly bugged me was the fact that no two Daleks are the same design. They're similar, but none of them are identical. Other than that though this was really quite amazing. I'd happily see this included as the in situ version of the story on the Season 3 Blu-Ray set, provided that a copy of the soundtrack/recon of the original is also available

I was biting my fingers all the way through it. Marvellously made! Marco Simioni's Marc Cory feels like the hero of another story, briefly dropping in on us for his duel with the Daleks. Everything from the style of acting to the blocking of camera shots feels like an authentic homage to the era. Right down to the use of models for full-shots of the Dalek control room (I wonder if they were moved with fishing line or magnets beneath the set?). If ever there were an impulse to recreate some of the more complex full-motion shots for The Daleks Master Plan (or a Space Security Service story from The Dalek Outer Space Book), these guys would be at the top of my list. May this only be the beginning of their work.

Wow! It really felt authentic. There were moments I almost forgot I wasn't watching a rediscovered episode. I thought it was very lovingly done and well made. My only slight criticism would be the initial Dalek Control Room scene was a little juddery; it looked like action figure stop motion in places. I watched the behind-the-scenes video and that scene was action figure stop motion, except for the Dalek close-ups. They decided building the Dalek Control Room for one scene would be too expensive, so they used a model. With that in mind, only looking like stop motion "in places" is fairly impressive.

Ah, I didn’t know that, thanks for clarifying. I thought it was just dodgy movement in the real Daleks. In that case, no real criticisms!

Loose Cannon's reconstructions often used CGI to mock-up shots that otherwise don't exist in telesnaps. For me, I had remind myself for the scenes inside the rocket that it was a real set. The design looked so authentic to something you'd expect from 1965, I second guessed myself.

If you look closely at about 7:10 in the behind-the-scenes video, you can actually see some strings pulling the Daleks along in one of the shots. Based on that, I don't think it was stop motion, but that could have just been a test that they ultimately didn't go with. Who can say?

I'm only 5 minutes in and I'm loving this!
It's so faithful to the original series, well done to everyone involved!
Having just finished this, what an excellent performance! Everyone that had a had in this should be extremely proud of the work they put in and of the finished product!
Well done!
