Wow. RIP. Such an iconic and distinctive voice. He brought a great tragic quality to Omega.

That is very sad. Thanks for it all, Omega, and RIP.

Sincere condolences to Stephen's family and friends. I mainly knew him as Omega, but I loved the hell out of that character and his performance (especially since he had to convey power and emotion from behind that mask). Rest in Peace, sir.

Very sad news; 'Omega' has crossed beyond the singularity.
(Beyond his classic and unforgettable Who roles for which we all know him, may I suggest one of Stephen Thorne's glorious audiobook readings? I can't think of any better tribute than listening to his magical performance of 'The Myth Makers', bringing Homer’s mostly tongue-in-cheek narrating voice to life and giving wonderful portrayals of all the characters. Donald Cotton’s sparkling 1985 novelisation is brilliantly written high comedy somewhere between P.G. Wodehouse and Jerome K. Jerome and it took a very special actor to perform it so perfectly.)

Sad news - one of the most memorable guest villains of the Classic series. Lets not forget also that he was twice the cover star back in the day...

Very sad. A genuinely historic passing. In one of his many great achievements, Stephen Thorne gave us our first glimpse into the Time Lords of yore. A legacy and depiction now firmly cemented in the bedrock of the show's blanket of stars. Gone, but never forgotten.

Hello again.
Yes, agree with all your previous tributes. My first encounter with that extraordinary voice was his role as Omega in The Three Doctors repeat that formed part of the Five Faces of Doctor Who season.
I only watched The Daemons for the first time in January and the way he manages to terrify the Master was so effective. Thn Master, as usual has drastically underestimated his latest ally.
A great and memorable contribution to Dr. Who.
