I was thinking the other day what a story with Vila surviving Guada Prime would have been like, and then got thinking that conceivably there’s a way for each of the characters to be the sole survivor of that incident (except Blake). Vila is the easiest, he saw the troopers coming and dropped, playing possum until the firing stopped and potentially the most interesting to follow, because he wasn’t a revolutionary like Tarrant and Dayna and his survival skills were of the more “not getting caught by the authorities” style rather than the “shoot your way out” style of Soolin and of all of them, he’d be considered to be the least dangerous, being that he wasn’t ex-Federstion, or a gunslinger or a weapons manufacturer.

It might be an interesting avenue for a box set, four hour long stories, each one of a sole surviving rebel (Tarrant, Dayna, Vila and ORAC).

I'd love an ORAC story... but... while I'm a rather huge fan of Alistair Lock - who portrays ORAC these days - I'm not sure if I could imagine a story narrated by ORAC. The framing story would have to have ORAC activated in such a way that he would be compelled to talk, otherwise I would not think he would ever be bothered to do so. It would take careful writing to make it work, but if that was done I'd be all for it.
