I don't remember exactly what it said, but remember thinking it wasn't blatantly transphobic and lined up (at least in part) with the rather contradictory scientific findings on the matter. Namely, something about M-F trans people potentially having an unfair advantage competing against females. From what I understand there is some reason to believe there may be advantages, most of which dissipate over time. Other advantages occur anyway (ie, I recall reading a suggestion that such a person is likely to have a larger frame/bone structure. Well... it's not like we say "gee, you're too much taller than other basketball players to be allowed to play when a team signs some 6"11 dude). At any rate, no point re-arguing the whole thing, especially when the state of actual knowledge about potential advantages isn't settled.
But I didn't follow the whole thing and maybe he went further. I can understand cutting ties with someone who is plainly being transphobic, but you can't simply drop everyone. Better to use some things as opportunities for education than vilification.
Let's say someone decides I am being transphobic in this post with this partial nod towards what he said? Would "ban Person now!" be a reasonable demand?
(Then again, this is an internet forum. Nobody makes money as a result of my presence. If all Dreyfus releases would undersell going forward, that does provide a business reason. I'd imagine Big Finish doesn't have much room to eat losses)

Dreyfus referred to trans women as "men in skirts".

Dreyfus referred to trans women as "men in skirts". Yeah. He's transphobic and people should stop trying to sugarcoat it. And yes, if anyone said something similar on here, I do believe they should be banned.

I didn't even know at all about that particular statement. The way it was described to me by someone here is that some person called Martina Navratalova said she "did not think it was right or fair for trans women to compete in professional women's sports. Dreyfus backed her up, and the trans community called them out for it", and that it then snowballed in some fashion.
At least quote someone if you're going to say something like that about what they supposedly said. I didn't sugarcoat anything. (Is it even possible to when one has made clear the limits of ones knowledge clear in the post being pounced on).
