You know, now that you mention it, I actually do rather like Attack of the Cybermen ...

I kind of agree the animation is not great . . . but . . . for this story it might just actually work better than higher quality animation would. Will keep an open mind until I see it. The look and style of it makes me think of the Clone War (2008) animated series.

I think this is dreadful. It looks like, as many people have said, it was made in an old.. *old* computer game format. They'd've been better off using CG fingerpuppets or something, if it was an artistic decision. To play devil's advocate, doesn't an old-old computer game format actually fit a story about a villain with a vintage childhood motif and tacky-surreal visuals that wouldn't be out of place, if seen in some weird PC game from 95/96?

Finally got round to The Underwater Menace. Loved the animation, great character movement and I enjoyed the scale of it, the colour palette is lovely too.
I forgot what a bonkers story it is! Throw in the bright colour of the animation and it’s what I’d imagine a psychedelic dream to be like! There’s so much to the story, to the point where we suddenly switch locations and conversations have moved on a great deal. All held together with terrific performances by Troughton & Furst.
