So I did these polls the last two years and they seemed to be popular for determining what we thought was the best of Big Finish of that year and now that it is November I've decided to get it started. Pick your top three from each month and at the end of January a top 20 pull will be compiled once polling has ended. This one is for September 2020. I'm not including any of this year's compilation rereleases as they are not produced for 2020 and excerpts are not included.

For me, Her Own Bootstraps was the definite standout. Such a good quality of writing which I hope carries over into the Ninth Doctor Adventures next year.

Well, how do you decide between too amazing and stunning box sets? The Benny sets have been an absolute joy and I came to expect another great set of stories and I was not disappointed. These stories are clever, interesting, full of character and original ideas. I thought not much could beat this. Especially not Time War 4, which as a series had been a bit... underwhelming. But then they delivered a real punch. Terry Molloy made my jaw drop. This was amazing.

There's a reason that I do Top 3 in the individual month polls just for months like this where there's so much that's above everything else.

The Time War Volume 4. Not been a massive fan of this range, but really enjoyed this set. I sort of feel as though the range would've been better with a shake up of the stories and events, with this volume serving as an even better finale.
Her Own Bootstraps was a surprisingly pleasant listen, with Dudman focusing on his reading rather than an impression and it works better for it. The Flying Dutchman / Displaced was fine, if unmemorable.

I was really really torn between Time War 4 which enkindled a love for the Time War saga which really had bored me to tears and Bernice Lost in Translation both sets have been played many times now and now am asked to make a choice and I will....
Bernice Lost in Translation -there is just something magical about all the scripts the chemistry between Bernice and David, something she didn’t really have with 7th incarnation. This is just an absolutely loveable set of stories that it’s by far THE BEST release of the Year followed by Time War 4 in the box set category

Callen
I held off on the Series till I knew both Volumes were done and I did, like Adam Adamant, its a true but different and engaging take on the series.
8th Doc Time War 4
Manages to bring co-coherence back to 8ths involvement in the Time War and leaves me eager for the next stage. Plus another powerhouse performance from Terry Molloy
