I suppose the difference is this would be a literal adaptation of the book.
But then if you want that there already is a full cast audio version of it.

I actually love this idea. It was done for American Gods as well and Dracula (with Tim Curry and Alan Cumming) which are both great versions of the unabridged audiobooks.

I'm hoping this is available on Audible UK. I've been looking for a good version of the Good Omens audiobook. I can't find the Stephen Briggs version, and I'm not a fan of the Martin Jarvis reading which I currently have. Nor was I too taken with the Dirk Maggs radio adaptation starring Mark Heap and Peter Serafinow.... Serafrofina.... The Tick! But I did enjoy the characterisation that David Tennant and Michael Sheen brought to the Amazon show, so an unabridged version of the text with those fellas onboard is muchly welcome. And if the Full-Cast American Gods audiobook is anything to go by, I certainly hope I'll be able to get it.

Oh dear What’s wrong with the 2018 dramatised version?

Oh dear What’s wrong with the 2018 dramatised version? I just wasn't a fan of some of the performances. Peter gave a fantastic performance as Crowley, Mark Heap made some choices too. I think it was the choice of actors for some of the roles didn't quite grab me. Which is a shame, because I can usually rely on a Dirk Maggs production having spectacular casting. Neverwhere had nearly flawless casting across the board. So yeah, some of the performances in the radio adaptation were quite distracting.

I'm hoping this is available on Audible UK. My understanding was that all the Audible stores were rolled up into one in early 2019. Not that audible.co.uk doesn't exist anymore, but I noticed many series with one narrator for US and another for UK "merge" [read: one set disappearing*]. They also made their 2-credits, 12-credits and 24-credits plans universal. (Audible.com.au didn't have them until then and I don't think UK had them either.) I had presumed that meant there would also be no more territory restrictions. Is that fair? *Also, even if a book is removed from sale, it will still remain in your library forever.

Uk always had 24 book drop all at once, at least since I signed up to the uk version, since the us site went only us based card payments once Amazon bought them. still lots of geographic dependent titles and books do disappear from time to time, rare but if you get an extra credit you didn’t notice it’s usually something has gone……. happened to me at least 3 times in last few years, but clocking almost 1000 titles it’s hard to find what’s gone, last time it happened was with “great zoo of China” preordered, download to phone but when went to stream on the pc app not there, apparently they did not have rights to uk, I had been refunded a credit, but gave me another and when was officially released in uk it appeared in my account……
