I assume many of us must be fans of old timey radio dramas, so what are some favorites? I love My Favorite Husband, which was adapted into I Love Lucy.

If we’re excluding the old BBC radio comedies such as Hancock’s Half Hour and Round the Horne then I have to say I’m real fond of the pulp radio serials from the ‘30s such as The Shadow.
If you look around long enough on places such as YouTube you’re bound to find some real gems.

Paul Temple - I love the plummy accents, butlers, his wife 'Steve', cigars at the club, weekends away, oh and the murders.
The Avengers - the 1970's Springbok Radio series. I keep banging on about these, and there is a link to them (19hr long stories for free) in The Avengers thread.

I'm very fond of things like the old LUX Radio theatre productions, along with the other series that turned movies into radio plays. I have more than a hundred of those, and thousands of episodes of western radio shows like Gunsmoke and Have Gun Will Travel. I enjoy the old Tarzan, Flash Gordon and other pulp radio shows as well. An awful lot of these old shows are now so old they're out of copyright and freely available online. There's some real old rubbish you may have to sift through but when you find a good show it's a joy to immerse yourself in OTR.
