I have to say I appreciate how they managed to photoshop McCoy to resemble his Tv Movie appearance

Bit surprised Davison doesn't get a look-in here, but this looks a very promising set.

Character Names held back that's unusual. David K Barnes writing stories featuring The Silence intrigues me.

Boy that was fast, BF rarely ever gives us full details and a cover for a box set more than a year in advance.
Interesting to note that McGann and McCoy seem to be companionless, unlike the two Bakers who get to hang around with Sarah Jane and Mel. Funny how this is almost the exact same lineup as for the second volume. I don't mind at all that Colin and McGann have been in every box set so far as they're my two favorite Doctors, but I can see how and why that might bother people who'd want BF to toy with One and Two a bit more.
I'm glad to see McCoy featuring in this box set however, as I always thought his episode in the first volume was the weakest of the CDNM range.
Also nice to see that David K Barnes will be writing the two episodes featuring the Silence on his own, this could be a nice change of pace given the two parters were written by two distinct writers in volumes 2 and 3.
All in all, this sounds interesting to me, can't wait to preorder this one even though I haven't been able to listen to the latest volume yet.
Didn't BF make a slight mistake in the news piece that was posted on their website, though ? I seem to remember that Harmony Shoal was in The Return of Doctor Mysterio and not The Husbands of River Song ?

They were the people who wanted Hydroflax’s head on the restaurant ship from River. She thought she was selling the diamond but it was actually the head they wanted. Then they came back in an expanded role in Mysterio.

I only remembered they seemed to have a bigger role in their second outing and that we never got a proper conclusion to their story arc when Moffat left.

I'm so glad this range is continuing after it seemed to stall after Volume Two, and this new set is a pre-order certainty for me. Great line-up of writers, great line-up of Doctors.

A couple fun facts that jump out at me:
- Barring any unannounced stuff, this is the first time Sadie Miller is playing Sarah with Tom Baker where it's not an alternate timeline! And the first time without Chris Naylor's Harry. The iconic pairing of Four and Sarah has arrived for real.
- Paul McGann has been in all four sets - but has never gotten a proper new monster on his own! He's had the second half of a two-parter three times and the Sontarans.

Also, isn't this the first Time War episode for Eight since 2020 ? That is, if his episode is set during the Time War. I'd say so based on his outfit, but volume 3 used it as well. Or at least, BF photoshopped McGann's face from the 2013 minisode onto his movie outfit.

Surprised that Harmony Shoal are involved… I was expecting a return for them in one of the New UNIT sets to wrap up the cliffhanger from Mysterio but nice to see them. Also surprised that the Krillitane still haven’t been used since (from what I can remember) the Doctor was already familiar with them in School Reunion.
Also nice to see a Four and Sarah Jane story!

Ooh this piques my interest more than Volume 3 did.
The Clockwork Droids are a meh. Of the Series 2 monsters, I’d have gone with Krillitanes honestly.
Harmony Shoal is intriguing. We never got a sense of their real motives or origins as Husbands and Mysterio have other priorities, so they’re quite ripe.
The Silents are a really juicy one. Silenced did them really well so I’m curious in what direction they’ll go here. Plus another Seven story in this range is welcome.

I think the shift in format for that range made me drop it completely. I didn't even know Eight got a Time War episode in the most recent box set.

Gorgeous cover. Really wish they’d gone with the playing card style for The Stuff of Nightmares now we’ve gotten a quirky style for Broken Memories.
That’s pretty much the monster lineup I was expecting based on the subtitle, so no complaints from me. I’ve always thought the Clockwork Droids would be the perfect foil for Seven if they went full on body horror, but I can really see them suiting Six. Harmony Shoal have a lot of potential, particularly as a shadowy background organisation, so I’m looking forward to an encounter with Four, and with Sarah Jane to boot! And the Silence are great, were brilliantly realised in Silenced, and I think Seven and Eight are good Doctors to pair them with. It’ll be interesting if they’re fully connected stories, as the potential is their given the forgetful nature, and they’re both written by David K Barnes.
I’m surprised they didn’t get a First or Second Doctor story in, and I think that would’ve been my preference instead of another one with Six (who’s had a cracking run in this range), but as noted above, I can really see the Droids suiting him, so I’m looking forward to it nonetheless.

McGann versus a monster that wipes memories.
This pairing is iconic.

I would have done Clockwork Droids with the Third Doctor. Always thought they suited him because of his appreciation for technology. Though I think Six against them has potential. One of the chattiest Doctors vs a robot that doesn't really talk.
