I really like it. I have to say that I find the activities of the main characters very interesting. The comedy is spot on as well. Sheldon’s an absolute riot.

I enjoy it, a lot of people don´t (although the show´s detractors are right about one thing - it´s no "Four Gregs")

Love the show.. the character growth from everyone is great.. Evidenced in Sheldon's speech at the very end which had my wife bawling. Howard's personal and maturity growth was great too.. Raj did get a bit too whiny with his whole "I am jealous of you all who have wedding rings why can't I!".. They did change the characterisation of Amy Farah Fowler and Bernadette fairly early on. Looking back it's obvious. The 4 main male characters were legit successful in their science careers, just socially awkward. The creators admitted they purposely didn't use the label for Sheldon, so they gave him all the character traits of all the different types on the spectrum which made him unique and a great character draw. To me the most important thing is that we the audience were laughing With them, not At them- big difference.

I’ve seen the odd episode here and there but it’s not really my cup of tea.

I am a big fan. Love the show. I am a nerdy scientist (with evil muhahaha secret aspirations) myself and there is just SO MUCH TRUTH in this series. I am not making this up, but I actually know a fellow scientist who is a perfect copy of Sheldon. To a "T". (the most funny thing is, he watched Big Bang Theory with us and he just did not get the point of Sheldon)
The other post-grad students in our office at university basically were pretty much like as described in this series. We even had a complete Whovian who even made up a clever TARDIS joke in the title of his thesis (back then, I was not a fan, but even I did get it). I am socially awkward and VERY direct myself, so a lot of the jokes in the series make me laugh, because I would have done the same stupid things. So yeah, loving it, because it basically describes my life.

I think I watched it up to Season 6 and then went away to uni where I had no way to watch it and didn’t really try to find a way. I did see bits and pieces of later seasons and honestly it seemed to have devolved into a more standard sitcom focused on relationship woes and kids more than the geeky subculture of the first couple of seasons.
