Not sure about that first story myself. Unless done very well, I find a lot of overly meta and self aware stories really rub me up the wrong way.

Ooh meta storytelling. Sure, why not. The Smith era is arguably the most meta era of Who already with him as a child’s imaginary friend and ‘Doctor Who?’ being a plot point, so curious to see how they lean into it.

Not interested in the Range but the 3rd story sounds the most intriguing

That explains the rather obvious pseudonym "Ellery Quest", then...

The first set was an unexpected triumph so I'm willing to take a chance on set2 even if the story details haven't grabbed me yet.

I have already signed up for the full run, but the write up to this second set doesn’t excite me.
But perhaps it is good to go into it with low expectations.

Experimental stories, Mr. Foreman and Barbara all perk up my ears, though I’m still waiting for the whole run to release first before picking these up.

The stories sound really interesting to me. Especially the first story . I generally quite like the idea of stories that are 'meta'. Although I feel like these kind of stories can be very hit or miss. I already preordered the entire set, so I'm really curious how this entire "season" of stories will work out. I really prefer this tv season of stories over just random standalone stories.
I'm just hoping that we'll soon get more clarity on the release schedule of the last two sets, as I find it strange that both say february 2024 on the website . I would have prefered if they released one set every idk 3-6 months instead of having a too long wait period in between them. I've only been listening to Big Finish for about 8 months now, how do they normally update the release information for their bigger(?) releases. Like do they have special events, or is it just randomly announced? I'm also especially curious about the new "fugitive doctor" and "call me master" sets or maybe any future 13th doctor sets (I really hope that those will come sooner rather than later:) ), at what kind of times/events do things like that usually get announced?
Lol, I'm kinda getting off topic. Anyway, really looking forward to these 11th doctor sets, also especially since the 11th doctor era was the first that I watched when I was a teen. I loved the first set. Valerie has been an awesome companion so far, looking forward to hear more about her and her adventures with the 11th doc.

This sounds wonderfully bonkers to me. Unconventional stories that leans into the era it's portraying, a lovely variety of talent and forging a new era. Geronimo! was exactly what I love about Big Finish product and this seems to be more of that, which is ideal in my book. Very much looking forward to the next instalment.

This is one of the problems of Big Finish spreading releases over multiple years and now using the current logo for all their releases. That now messes up the collection, just like the Eight Doctor : Time War before it. Not happy.

What's the bet that this logo will only last a year and Big Finish uses the Gatwa logo for volumes 5 and 6 for even more chaos? Edit: And Classic Doctors, New Monsters 4 - the two "Moffat" sets will have different logos. Do you think there will be volumes 5 and 6 covering Chibnall?

It seems extremely unlikely to me that there's going to be another new logo for Ncuti - the diamond logo has already been used on material specifically featuring him and promoting his first series (such as his "introduction to the show" video), and it would make no sense to introduce a new logo, rebrand everything with it pretty much the moment Jodie leaves, then withdraw it after it's only been seen on TV in three episodes airing over the course of under a month.

RTD confirmed in this month's DWM that the logo will be sticking around after the 60th.

I loved the first set and I'm a big fan of different and experimental stories, so I am certainly looking forward to this one. As far as I'm concerned, Valarie is the best original BF companion that we have seen in ages. Can't wait!
