I enjoyed it when I recently watched it for the first time. It's good, although I did feel a bit put off by some of the lines about meat-eating, not being a vegetarian myself. I enjoyed the Second Doctor and Jamie's return especially.

Yes it is! LOL
Seriously though, Pat and Fazer are brilliant, its a more calmer performance from Colin, Jacquelyn and John Straton do a great job with one note characters, yes the Sontarans are too tall but otherwise fine, and yes it dissolves into a location runaround but they are abroad.

It's a really odd one. I like the fact that the meeting of the two Doctors isn't central to the story, it just happens to be a consequence of it. Anniversary or not, it's great to see Pat and Frazer, especially as it was Pat's last performance as the Doctor. The cast is great, the story very enjoyable a lot of the time. Didn't like Oscar's death though - that was unnecessary. He and Anita should have had a happy ending.

Underrated The Cast is Great Especially Patrick Troughton and Frazer Hines returning The Sontarans are generally threatening which after them turned into jokes in New Who is quite something The Locations were really stunning The Vegetarian angle wasn’t too on the nose (didn’t last long for The Doctor though as he went for steak and chips in Boom Town)
I know one common complaint is the violence in the story but honestly the violence helps give the era a bit of edge and danger something that is solely missing in new who

I would have let Oscar survive though I know. I was gutted when he died from his stab wound.

I would have let Oscar survive though I know. I was gutted when he died from his stab wound. It was just so unnecessary - another death in a story full of death. Perhaps it was meant as 'his just desserts' for what he did to the moths in his collection, but he and Anita were two genuinely nice characters in a story full of nasties. I only hope she found happiness afterwards. Maybe one day we'll find out. What do you reckon, Big Finish?

My opinion on this story varies, depending on my mood - I don't really 'mind' it, as such, but I don't know if I would strictly go 'out of my way' to watch it on a regular basis...
Oscar & Anita were definitely a favourite part of the story for me, and have to agree that, yes, he didn't really 'need' to die.

I love it. The plot is completely non-sensical, but everyone involved just shows such enthusiasm and joy... it is infectious. It is one of my go-to Who stories when I am having a bad day. Even the audio commentary is good fun. What is not to like? We get to see the 2nd Doctor and Jamie again. Sixie got a good looking sexy shirt. Peri gets to mouth back at the Doctor. The villains are bonkers, but fun (I actually wish they would bring back the Androgums and play them straight as a real horror race). However, there is quite a bit savage brutality and violence (the needless death of Oscar and the scattered bits of Sontaran). All in all, my favorite of the classic multi-Doctor-stories.

I like it enough to revisit it regularly but I wouldn't say it's good. Honestly that's how I feel for a lot of Season 22 though! Some great ideas, alongside some absolutely baffling choices.
One thing I love is the idea of a multi-Doctor episode that just feels like a normal story. Obviously the EU is full of those (the Out of Time series being a recent example) but I'd love to see another on TV.
