So now some people won’t bother to swap out their sleeves, and someone else will end up with the identical serial number replacement sleeve!

So now some people won’t bother to swap out their sleeves, and someone else will end up with the identical serial number replacement sleeve! What a mess...

Glad to see they’re being reprinted; fingers crossed for some actual quality control this time. This series has been an almighty cockup from the beginning, physical release or otherwise.

I hope the new sleeves are big enough to put over the old sleeves....

Okay, who cursed Ones and Future? The Decision to make it a Monthly Release instead of one 8 Disc Boxset either Book or Larger Jewel Case type Having to hold back the Coda for a Year doesn't help Regards mark687

Okay, who cursed Ones and Future? The decision to have Special Editions in a format Big Finish have never done before [foil-embossed].

Yeah what they should have done is the Book/Box set for 7 Discs. Wrap up the story for the most part, THEN have the CODA as a separate release to wrap up anything else after

One last spin of the dartboard, and first piece of post-Covid recording from Carole Ann Ford.

Well, Susan meeting her stepgranny could be fun. But we've heard River with McGann more than she was with Matt on TV, I think! While Susan and McGann aren't exactly strangers.
Hopefully the story does something interesting. Tom's visage in the background is a tease. Like yesterday's statue of McGann, they're using iconography of Doctors who aren't in stories for covers all of a sudden.

It's kind of odd to think...Coda is SO far away, we'll be getting ready for Ncuti's Christmas ep and second season.

It's about time Carole Ann Ford was used by Big Finish again. She's the first ever companion the show ever had - the original, you might say - and it's a shame more hasn't been done with her over the years. I'm delighted she's back for this.

The synopsis makes it sound like there’s more of a switch between Paul & Tom, which is exactly what the original announcement made it seem like the series would be; Doctors shunting between incarnations without choice or stability. I hope that truly is the case here.
The inclusion of Susan & River makes sense. There’s nothing in the various combinations that haven’t been done by Big Finish already, but it also seems justified in a way that, say, Two’s Company wasn’t.

I wonder if this is what River was referring to in Lies in Ruins about why she doesn’t erase Eight’s memory in that story…?

Upon the recommendation of another member of this forum I have begun re-listening to this run, one after another, as if it was a boxset. And you know what? It works a lot better. It also helps that we now know which was the incarnation that was affected first and why. It really changes the whole thing. I can hear subtle hints in the writing and performances that I missed the first time that point to the over all arc. Some of The Doctor's decisions in each story are far more clear than they were when I was listening to it before. I've just finished Two's Company and they have all been so much more enjoyable this time around. I highly recommend it.

Listening to the whole story over 2 days I enjoyed it overall, some parts aren't as strong as the others but I find when listening to the whole story it delivers a satisfying pay off.

Maybe it's just that Once And Future has been....I'll be kind and say divisive...but I almost feel like this month could use some more exciting Who-related material from BF for the 60th.
Going back 10 years to the 50th. YES - we had The Light At The End. But that was far from all. In the November alone we also had Carole-Anne in The Beginning - a big deal canonically which went prior to An Unearthly Child, so really celebrating the full 50 years. We had an MR release in Assassination Games from the 1963 trilogy, also an anniversary treat. And The Time Machine from Destiny Of The Doctor - ANOTHER celebration for the 50th, with Jenna Coleman, no less.
This November? We're not really getting anything that couldn't be released any old month. Maybe The Box Of Terrors, with it being multi-Doc and having Omega (an old anniversary fave) but even that's an audiobook rather than a drama. Guess I'm just feeling a bit entitled but it did feel a lot fuller for the 50th.
