Very interesting, but I must say that I am disappointed that the first, second and third doctors don't lead the cast and probably will get only the traditional three lines each.
Especially David Bradley, in my opinion, should have led an episode, as his first doctor is "a BBC doctor."

BF Tweet Bring it on! Regards mark687 I have to be honest: I think this sounds absolutely, unashamedly brilliant. The very impressive trailer does nothing to dampen my enthusiasm. I mean - what a line-up, really.
As for writers ...
{Spoiler} I can't imagine Nick Briggs won't be involved somewhere along the line. Considering it’s set during the Time War, I’m sure The Daleks will be making an appearance somewhere.

The coda episode a year later is odd but I wonder if that is a necessary circumstance of having to deal with RTD taking over and the return of Tennant.

My wonder is if the Coda is a 14th Doctor(maybe even a 15th Doctor) story, and legality/timing with the show is the reason behind the Nov 2024 release?

But otherwise, lovely to see what I expected to be announced today, though am quite pleased that it is a monthly release starting from May, giving a nice buildup to the 60th TV specials in November.

Not neccessarily the story I was 'expecting', but, despite me only tending to pre-order a month or so in advance, the special-edition was a definite pre-order ("only" £3 more, afterall ).

Monthly was what I was advocating for before the 50th came out. My thought was treat it like a big comic book crossover event with the specials being the main issues and regular releases feeding into and out of the main event.

Well I don’t think it can be preordered yet (it’s giving an Error page) but we may as well start speculating who else is in it. My money’s on at least David Warner and Lisa Bowerman having recorded something as the Doctor and Benny. I think Warner has at least, because i swear Eccleston said somewhere about him sharing a scene with Warner Yep, he told me this. I had asked him about it.

Hmmm.... I am not overly thrilled by the blurb and the "starting point" of the story.... with this degeneration business. I am also a bit over the Time War. However, this worked great (so far) for the TV series and is one of the only ways they can get a whole different Doctors in without repeating previous stories. So at least this way, we might get a new formula and shake up things a bit.
What I really love about this- it is a MONTHLY release. So something nice to look forward to every month, with an ongoing story.

But this is something different at least.

A couple of boxsets a year is one thing, but a regular run of a bigger story really sells this to me.

I'm another one here thrilled with the monthly release format. I just did a panel at LI Who talking about how much I miss those monthly releases.
I think this sounds terrific. I'm really looking forward to it!

There is so much speculation going on in my head with possible explanations about the year wait for the coda that I really hope they can explain that soon.

Both the limited editions and standard editions are listed as one CD each. I presume that means that the "additional audio content" will be download only, like the extended interviews of the Main Range.

This sounds really exciting! And I'm delighted that Eccleston will be part of an anniversary celebration.

Eight stories announced, but only seven Doctor actors in the initial announcement? That's odd. I expect one of the stories will be Treloar, so given how much they've leaned into their 3DA series, I'm more than a little surprised not to see his name listed here.

I'm thinking Cameos in the stories to avoid the Re-Cast Debate being a thing because by including Ecclestone and Tennant your guaranteed maximum audience including casual buyers. Regards mark687
