As this finishes in October, a month before the anniversary.
Do we think this is because Big Finish (or the BBC) doesn’t want an audio anniversary special released at the same time as the television specials?
Or do we think Big Finish have another something special planned for release in the anniversary month?
It just seems strange for the special anniversary series not to have any release in the actual anniversary month and I keep wondering why…

Basically there was talks about doing a lost story version of the original three doctors script (basically the earlier draft which had numerous differences, more of an active role for The First Doctor and I think Jamie was initially going to feature) Nick mentioned in both past vortex and the podcast (the latter has Nick saying that he spoke to Bob baker before his passing about a project he couldn’t talk about) Since Big Finish has been doing versions of The Ark in Space, Genesis of The Daleks and Revenge of the cybermen that were based on earlier script drafts logically makes the Three Doctors 2.0 a huge possibility Surprised that Big Finish hasn’t approached the estate of Terrance Dicks about doing a version of the original Five Doctors with The Fourth Doctor playing an active role

Thank you. Hmmm. Not sure how I feel about "recycling" as opposed to "maybe not so exciting" new stuff. Would have to see the sales pitch (and maybe some reviews) to decide...

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, I'm wondering if this is set in the Time War, which Doctor has been injured, Eight or the War Doctor? Would Jonathan Carley be in the cast list if this was the case?

Given this started recording before Carley had even been cast, I'm guessing it's McGann

Although it is nice for to have these monthly releases to look forward to, I do find it strange they went that route for the special editions. Now hearing that each release will be individually numbered makes me disappointed. Unless they are going to ensure that each buyer gets the same number on each release, which I doubt as it would be a very time consuming and problematic task, everyone will end up with a random collection. Hardly as special as having a numbered big box set release. I have already enquired if there was any plan to include a cardboard box to put the releases in and was told there would not be. Numbering such a hypothetical box would make more sense to me. I also never like the notion of having two types of physical release. In essence it just means the non special edition ends up having less than a regular release would which always feels extra(s) mean.

YOu can spend the year between volume 7 and volume 8 working out whose got the same limited editino numbers as you and swapping your copy to get the full set!

Some are (half a) surprise, others aren't...
1-3's recast? Yeah, makes sense Liv, Sarah-Jane & Harry? Companions, makes sense Jenny & Lady Christina, I'm not going to question, but I'm guessing they'll be in Tennant's? (Or with Davison for the former, like with 'Legacy Of Time'?) Veklin & The General? Well, it's a Time War related set? 100% tracks! Jackie? Well, 9's got an episode, so I guess it tracks, but without Rose? Hmm
David Warner was a (not so) hidden secret, but it's nice to hear conformation at it'll be one last apperance of the Unbound Doctor... 💔
Missy & The Paternoster Gang, however? Interested in the latter, but will certainly see how they work into the situation
