(For non-UK members, McCall is a big TV personality here).
So that leak seems to be legit…

Well, with what is being said about 15 first meeting Ruby, RTD's definitely not just repeating Rose. Less ''Run.'' and more ''Boogie.''

I'd say more Who does Labyrinth.

I'd say more Who does Labyrinth. Hmmm Labyrinth... and rumours of a more fantasy oriented approach after the "reboot"... hmmm...
That's OK for a fun Christmas special, but 'Who' is science fiction with fantastical elements, not fantasy. If they go down that road, it will inevitably lead to the Bog of Eternal Stench as far as fan opinion goes!

One of the most wonderful things about Doctor Who, IMO, is that it changes what it is quite frequently. I'm happy to have a period where it's more fantastical, knowing another period where it's something else will be along shortly.

While it wasn't to my taste Series 5 had more Fantasy leanings to seemed to well with the general public. Depending on what happens Tomorrow Ncuti's overall performance and his dynamic will Millie will be more important then the story of the EP for me. Regards mark687

I'm happy to have a period where it's more fantastical, knowing another period where it's something else will be along shortly. Certainly it has changed many times, but 'Doctor Who' has always been able to accomodate fantasy elements within its broad Panopticon, along with more traditional science fiction 'monsters' and situations. How much more 'fantasy' does it need to get than the Toymaker and the Mind Robber, for example? Or, in the middle of the Earth-action UNIT era, Kronos and the Minotaur. ('The Scorchies' are definitely pushing it but I loved the idea and BF have the scope to go 'out there' with a huge quantity of stories to tell across many ranges.)
I think it's the use of the word 'fantasy' together with the new deal that makes me wonder where it all might end, and to hope it doesn't.

Let's not forget that the moon is an egg and that the best solution to solar flares wiping out the earth is for a fireproof forest to spring up overnight and then abruptly disappear again. I can't see RTD taking us anywhere worse than those

And for others they prefer the adventure Who - the quest of Keys Of Marinus or the Key To Time. Some like the gothic horror takes. Some the historicals. Some more comic. Some more hard sci-fi....we're so lucky to have a show that can do any and all of these things, then be something different the next week. While I vastly prefer Moffat's era when it comes to New Who, there's no arguing it's been most successful with the public under RTD, so the show is in safe hands - as safe as can be - to make sure it's on air for the 75th anniversary. But his first ep back has....The Meep! A lot of the best BF and Who comics have been much more out there than the TV show (Voyager and Holy Terror are two of my fave stories in all of Who) and I think it'd be kinda cool if this new era embraced some bolder, oddball choices and see what sticks. Ncuti as an actor is totally mercurial so I'm 100% sure he'd be able to handle it all. Tennant's first run I got used to "it's not MY kinda Who but it's amazing to see the show doing so well". I'm fully prepped to feel that quite a bit in the new era too. Can't love it all!
