Obviously, as we all know a lot of 'Doctor Who' was unfortunately wiped as was the general practise back then.
But leaving Who to the one side for the moment, what other missing television series from the period would you want to see recovered?
Personally, I'd like to see more episodes of 'Doomwatch' or 'Ace of Wands' resurface one of these days. Especially the latter what with serials such as 'Seven Serpents, Sulphur and Salt' and 'Joker'.

'Bold, as a knight in white armour...'
Without question, my top 'wish' is for the rest of largely missing Series 2 of 'Adam Adamant Lives!'
Sadly, there seems no chance at all of them having survived, unless one day someone finds a large block of ice under a construction site and in it are some film cans...

True, although in this day and age I find it increasingly likely a lot of missing episodes are in the hands of private collectors rather than simply out in the wild somewhere. And even if they are, I doubt time has been kind to them. But yes, Adam Adamant is high on my list as well!

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

The Fast Lane: a comedy-drama series made in the mid-80s about two private detectives and their more competent secretary who does a lot of the ground work in solving their cases. It sounds terrible but it was a genuinely hilarious and very clever show. The ABC wiped it and it’s never been seen since apart from a large chunk of the episodes which made their way onto YouTube from someone’s personal videotape collection.
(It’s not from the period but it suffered the same fate as many other shows so I thought I’d include it)

There is an uncited claim on Wikipedia that ABC have confirmed they possess copies of the entire series.

Interesting: one of the actors claimed in an interview that it had been wiped. It did seem a bit ridiculous because it was written by one of the best tv writing teams in the country who continued to have hits for the rest of their lives.

Definitely Doomwatch also a BBC series called late night horror of which only one episode recently found and released (the corpse can't play) exists
