Honestly I hope it’s a good Boxset gosh knows big finish needs a win for 6 as I have found the 6DAs range has been pretty dire that with the exception of the last Adventure the others range from forgettable to downright trash (looking at your Purity Trilogy)
I mean it might be quite hilarious to see 4 Colin bakers talking at once and it’s good to see flip and Constance back so who knows got to keep hope

The most appealing thing about this set is that it features a variety of TARDIS teams, which is exactly what I'd anticipated the move to box sets would entail, but that's never really surfaced until now. Forty sort of does it, but as part of its plot. Nice to see Lisa Greenwood is fit enough to record too, looking forward to hearing more from Constance & Flip.
Everything else has already been done by Big Finish, and specifically done for the Sixth Doctor. He's encountering the Sontarans in another release in March! Fingers crossed it's great, but there's nothing in the news article that really sets it out. The cynic in me also finds it hard to shake off the cost saving measures; six episodes looks like the epic on the surface, but the writers are doubled up. Same for featuring the same TARDIS teams across multiple episodes makes it seem like less of an overall celebration on the surface; no Frobisher, Hebe, etc.

Allready seems to have enough without him but it's a shame Frobisher doesn't seem to be in Sixies 40th All hail the big talking bird!

Some of this sounds promising but with the decline in quality in the 6DAs and the recent Seventh Doctor celebration getting… less than stellar reviews, I think I’m going to hold off on this for now.

It's good to see them adopting the Legacy of Time approach at least.
Personally, I'm just wondering as to where this meant to take place in Flip's timeline. After the Lovecraft Invasion, perhaps?

So I’m interested about this limited edition thing. At first I assumed that would mean it’s going to be a one-off release like The Last Adventure, but instead this is just a standard 6DA release. Is this a sign of things to come - one-off pressings of CDs rather than whatever their current process is? As someone whose income isn’t high and relies on sales, later purchases, reviews, often borrowing a friend’s copy to try before I buy, this isn’t something I’m very keen on.
Edit: just saw this discussion in the general news thread. Looks like my fears are confirmed. Sigh.

I love that cover art! The Four Sixies. I think we're going to have to know our Sixth Doctor history quite well to follow what's going on in this one...
EDIT: *Waits for announcement describing it as 'a good jumping-on point'*

That's... quite a title.
Can't say the premise does much to excite me, but I learned long ago -- as I've said so often -- that I've seen plenty of fantastic premises executed extremely poorly, and plenty of terrible premises executed with equisite beauty (no, I will not shut up about how good Killing Time is, not now, not ever).
One thing that does make me happy is... well, the format, really. Like many others, I was pretty bummed by how Big Finish decided to effectively axe the Short Trips range (it's not exactly a short trip if you can only buy it in a long package, is it?) -- so I find the idea of a boxset with, essentially, six fully voiced short stories featuring Colin Baker very appealing.

A quick word from Colin . Interesting.. He had to have known..! Temporal anomaly. It's a professional hazard of being the Doctor.
(I suppose from his pov it won't be the 40th, he became the Doctor in summer / autumn 1983.)
