It appears even stock from 231 to 275 are now end of life. I ordered 271 Plight of the Pimpernel in the recent Sixie sale and it hasn't been delivered as they ran out of stock. When I contacted Sales at BF today they said they would refund me and that they didn't think they would get any more stock of the "older" titles.

Same happened when I ordered War Doctor Begins - Battlegrounds last December. I got my order in before the item went download only. Early Feb I got an email and a full refund (but got to keep the download).

It was pointed out then that the product page just said it was temporarily unavailable. Nearly two months on and it’s still not available on CD.

Presumably they still allow sales beyond current stock levels. In the past there’d just be a wait till they got more copies in. Have had such a wait many times over the years, sometimes waiting several weeks.

Now they just go straight to refunding, which does tend to suggest they don’t expect these to be available again any time soon, if ever.

When I rang to query why my CD hadn't been sent I said I was prepared to wait in light of the message on the product page. That was when they said they didn't expect any more CDs for this story and when they made the comment about this was what they expected to happen for all the "older stories" (their words not mine). It certainly ties in with the limit on CD pressings they seem to be putting on all their new releases, even 4th Doctor!
