I'll gladly be wrong but hasn't BF been doing countdown graphics or videos with their big releases of late and doesn't that mean it won't hit until next week? Like I said, happy to be wrong on this.

Odd that there was no big build up to this release, but glad it's out, regardless.

Let's do the Time War again. It a jump in the future, then a step in the past. Cause some interference, and make it last. The fractured vortex, will really drive you insane. Let's do the Time War again!

I can't think of the last time that I saw quite this much music included in a single release as part of the extras. There has to be something like 70 minutes worth of music suites here overall. Just something I noticed. Anyway, time to dig in...

Let's do the Time War again! Same here! 941.2megabytes? Geez Louise Louise! That is a big one. 750MB for a 5 CD set would be about high average - there must be extras packing out every last second of every disc. EDIT: the post by @judgefish above - lots of music suites.

Just finished episode 2. Did my ears deceive me, or did one of Ollistra’s minions say that they ‘had orders from 11?’ Something about collecting certain types of people?

Wasn't expecting the War Doctor theme for the score but makes sense I guess. Shame though, I liked John Hurt having "his" Who theme.

Well that was very good Details in Spoilers Rakhee Thakrar hits the ground running as Bliss entirely convinces like she's been the Companion for ages. Jacqueline Pearce and Nick Brimble are superb in their roles. The 2 means of war stratgaty / Philosophy with the Doctor in the middle. The principal twist though I guessed as soon as we meet the couple in "Starship" and maybe its just me but Olivia Vinall sounds too similar to Rakhee that I don't really get why they cast 2 actresses just have Rakhee keep changing her character's name till time settles and she's Bliss. However otherwise an excellent 1st proper involvement for the 8th Doctor in the Time War.
And only 1 E-mail notification

The Starship of Theseus. {Spoiler} Good stuff. Great use of the temporal side of the War. Poor Sheena/Emma/Louise, the companion who never was. Bliss makes a good first impression, certainly getting the most badass companion entrance ever (blowing up a Dalek).
I like that they used the same theme as the War Doctor, gives the Time War-related stories their own identity,
