This week's listening schedule: Commuting Mon Torchwood 6.1 - The men Who Destroyed Torchwood Tues-Fri 8th Dr Time War 3 Lunchtime walk (weather permitting, but has held up so far) Mon-Wed Tyrants of Logic eps 2-4 Thu & Fri Genesis Chamber eps 1&2 Absolutely Love Tyrants Of Logic-the world building is so captivating in audio format. Its nice to have a 3rd Doctor Cyberman story.I wonder also if we are going to have more Lis Shaw episodes now that her daughter has jumped on th BF ship and played her so well.A rematch with the Brigadier and the Cybermen would also be great. Though i am away on holiday Time war 3 discs have been dispatched lol so my next listen of it will be on the CD Agreed on Tyrants of Logic. I adore the characters in that one, the really make the story come to life!

On my journey I did a re- listen to Ravenous 3 ( which I adore, cannot wait for the next one) plus- Katy Manning’s Not a well Woman. She is absolutely brilliant. The story itself is pretty deep and emotional and can get very dark, but the performance is amazing. However, it is nothing I would revisit when I am having a bad day. It is striking a fine balance between comedy and tragedy, which works well because the funny bits help to highlight the tragic bits and vice versa. Interesting listen.

I eventually all of the Drama Show case stories although Nigel Fairs tale was pretty unsettling-Katies,Louise and Geoffrey Beevers tales were all excellent and my top scorer in that range is Beevers Unintelligent Design so funny. Ravenous 3 we both know that i find that a thought expanding listen. So many many theories of what could happen next. Well at least you are fitting them in on your course😉

Now sitting in my hotel being bored waiting for the evening when all participants are supposed to meet at a restaurant in town for meet and greet. Hoping for a nice evening. And good food. And since I am still in Bavaria, there will be beer. So in any case, the evening is saved.

Cicero- i had no great love for this series first time around. I am hoping that the Mediterranean setting of my holiday will instill some much needed good will towards it.One episode in and am already finding it pleasureable. I think perhaps a lot of sci fi listening at the previous time had numbed me to a more placid pace of audio drama.

I Think being sandwiched between two good tales The Outliers and Wreck of the World(my favourite of the three)the historical was going to suffer. But i found it an enjoyable tale with a good cast and one of my favourite TARDIS teams and that brilliant Elliot Chapman recreating so well BEN

The Justice of Jalxar.
At the time, I thought it a bit of an indulgence to have The Doctor bump into Jago and Litefoot again, but now, looking back, I'm so glad BF did it. How truly sad it is that half of the headlining actors here are no longer with us. Mary Tamm and Trevor Baxter sound so like their television selves here, and one hopes they were enjoying themselves as much as the listener. Because this is great fun - a lovely dark, quick-paced script from John Dorney (I'm going top have a Dorney week soon, the aim being to listen to two JD stories a day). Dark and atmospheric, fun and funny and now, of course tinged with a nostalgic bittersweet taste. Well worth a revisit.

Only two a day -i do a lot more of Dorney but am branching out and listening a lot more of Matt Fitton too.

Forgot to mention in The Justice of Jalxar - there's an excellent "Henreeehhhhh!" admonishment from Litefoot in Part Two

I think BF really eclipsed the TV show with their writers. Thats not in any way to bring those writers down,But i feel these guys know how to write and know how to write for Who. The other writers on the Dark Shadows range also know their skills and the new writers on the latest Bernice set too. Survivors i totally loved this show and its audio continuation so very very much. BF should be proud of the talent they have nurtured under their banner. All these guys even at their worst are still good lol

Space: 1999 - I haven't been this excited about a BF release since ... well, July.
The Legacy of Time came out in July. I guess (on average) that BF keeps me waiting for great stuff no longer than two months at a time these days, and often less than that.
