60th Marathon: Fifth Doctor - Favourite: Circular Time
“Something is added to cricket by the angle of the sun as it stands at 4 o’clock in early September. The shadows are longer. There’s a suggestion of colder days approaching, of circular time, of aspects of our lives dying away and returning.”
A lovely wander through Paul Cornell’s take on the Fifth Doctor, with two good vignettes, a very nice piece giving this pair some really human materiel and finally a nice small scale coda to Five’s era as a whole.

Torchwood - Double.
One of the finest entries in this range, with a barnstorming performance from Louise Jameson and admirable back-up from the supporting cast. I hope the success of Guy Adams two-episode double-length story means we get more like this, where a complex story is allowed to shine.

Finishing up the original UNIT series. Not bad! I've enjoyed it more than I thought I would, though I've found the first 2 stories more enjoyable than the final 2. It makes a refreshing change from Dalek Empire, which...eh. There's only so much one can do with a Dalek war, apparently.

I listened to Big Finish a lot lately as I need to travel a lot.
So I selected a variety of stories for the travels But first of all a little bit of review for the stories that waited for me:
"The Doomsday Contract"- Nice story, Memorable, not fun as I excpected, wonderful cast.
"The First Doctor Adventures: Volume Three" - Two strong stories, I preferred The Phoenicians, I like the historical more but I also like when Big Finish visit this area with topics that are familiar to me.
"The Diary of River Song: Series Three"- "My Dinner with Andrew" is probably belong to my top 10 when ranking all the big finish stories I ever heard, I like also the first and second stories in that set. the last story though is one of the more confusing I ever heard. a lot of repeates over some segments.

First Action Bureau (Jamie Anderson/Nicholas Briggs)
Very much a Gerry Anderson piece, trappings and all!
And perhaps appropriately befitting its status as a mini series, it moves along at quite a nice pace.

The Galileo Trap. One of those I wish had been longer.

Going through Cyberman season 1, enjoying it more than I thought I would (definitely more than Dalek Empire)
Also, Kingdom of the Blind from the original Benny series. A delight!
