Am I the only one who ignores the trailers? Too often (movies are really bad for this) trailers tend to give away key moments and can spoil, if not ruin things. So I ignore them, same with reading the blurbs Big Finish has put up in the days leading up to a release. No, I tend not to listen to them. I did make an exception for Gallifrey, but typically BF trailers are just lots of people ahouting disconnected things that make no sense because they aren't in context. I think if you're a real fan who needs a fix of Ten and Donna it could work, but I prefer the sort of trailer where they just preview one scene. I only listen to them if I need help deciding whether to buy or not. Generally, I like to go into a story "cold" and with no preconceptions. Cheers Tony

I actually thought his voice had matured a little when he did Day of the Doctor. That's a good point. It wasn't too noticeable but in some places he definitely sounded a bit older than he did during the Specials.

Am I the only one who ignores the trailers? Nope. I admit I listened to the first mini-trailer with these two, but generally I try to avoid learning anything about a release until I listen to the full thing.

It wasn't too noticeable but in some places he definitely sounded a bit older than he did during the Specials. I think that simply has more to do with not playing the role in a while. Remember, the man's natural accent is Scottish. I haven't seen every last thing he's been in, so I don't know precisely how often he uses the English accent rather than Scottish, but I'd imagine that if he hasn't used the English one in performances for a while, it takes some practicing to get fully into form. Somewhat similarly, all the original Doctors sounded a bit different in their first few episodes. Especially Tom Baker, when he first came back to the role for BBC, doing The Hornet's Nest. He didn't seem to quite get back into his "Doctor" voice until somewhere in the third episode of that first set. I didn't notice that he sounded older or any different in DotD, but he did sound a little different in the mini-trailer for BF I listened to. Could be wrong, though, because it has been a while since I watched 10's run. (The wife and I are about to finish 7's run, then will do the movie, then back to 1 & 2)

I listen to trailers when I am beyond excited for something and can't wait or when I also am on the fence.
Otherwise I usually skip them too.
