Hello, guys and girls. I've got a bit of a challenge for you.
I'm in the process of writing a Doctor Who fanfiction story, which is set on Gallifrey.
I would have started writing it already, but the problem is that I actually know very little about the pyramid of Gallifrey and what jobs there are.
So could somebody type up a list for me for all the Time Lord ranks, along with any other non-Time Lord Gallifreyan jobs and what their role is?
So far, I only really know the President, the Chancellor, the Cardinal, and I know there are different squads of guards as well. I don't really know what the former do though.
Thanks!
Note: Anything added from the Gallifrey audio series is helpful as well.

There's the coordinator. He/she's the head of the CIA, and is i portant in a lot of BF stories. Engin was a coordinator in The Deadly Assassin, but he didn't seem to be in the CIA, so there must be other coordinators. There's also the Castellan in charge of the Chancellory Guard, Inquisitors, and Archivists. I'm sure there are more jobs that I haven't thought of.

I wonder if Gallifrey has binmen and if they are as incompetent with where they put the bins when they've finished emptying them as our binmen?

Don't forget the Gold Usher! I wonder if Gallifrey has binmen and if they are as incompetent with where they put the bins when they've finished emptying them as our binmen? They may be immeasurably corrupt, but they're still sitting on ten million years of absolute power. Garbage is probably like something out of a fairy tale to them.

Well, this is a species that has mastered the art of creating black holes. If they have trash, it's probably condensed down to a singularity. Mind you, I think that they'd consider "waste" to be something for lower species, like automation. ~ Aha! I found it. Cluttered and overly comprehensive it may be, but there's a section on every seen or mentioned social rank within Gallifreyan society here: www.meshyfish.com/~roo/docwho1.htmlAccording to Rassilon, Omega and That Other Guy there is (with much overlap and in no particular order): - The Head of the Presidency
- The Lord High Chancellor of All Gallifrey
- Members of the Inner Council
- Members of the High Council
- Members of the Supreme Council
- Members of the Civil Service
- High Gold Usher
- Castellans
- Ordinal-Generals
- Ordinals
- Junior Senators
- High Cardinals
- Chapter Cardinals
- Under Cardinals
- Lord Burner
- Members of the Chapter Houses (so Prydon, Patrex, etc.)
- Members of the Celestial Intervention Agency (including Field Agents, the Coordinator, the Tribunal and are themselves secretly directed by the Matrix Lords)
- Members of the Order of the Wheal (which can be considered a historical precursor to the CIA)
- Members of the Chancellery Guard (or Chapterhouse Guard)
- Members of the Supreme Court (including Inquisitors and Valeyards)
- The Great Houses (divided into Newblood, Oldblood, Founding and Caretaker Houses and lead by a Kithriarch who exists in symbiosis with the House)
- Members of the Shobogans (known more officially as the Outsiders)
*heave* ♫ And so in every matter that a Gallifreyan should hold austere, he is the very model of a Gallifreyan Buccaneer. ♪ That is a lot of titles... No wonder Gallifrey is so Victorian.
